Crazy how Apple can get away with charging $1350 for a phone that's exactly the same as last year's model with a bigger screen, but when a company like this puts out a solid phone at $800 it seems high. It should seem high. It shows how Apple has brainwashed everyone into thinking only they can charge these insane $1K+ prices without even being questioned while everyone else still has to pass the smell test. $800 should be the highest of the high end mainstream consumer market.

I like its simple design. It's a bit refreshing to see a phone with bezels and no round edges. I'd like for you to switch to it but not until you'vr extensively used the Pixel 3XL.

I'm rocking the first version of the Razer phone and in my opinion I love it dearly and it's a great difference from having Samsung since it is simple and different. For what it is worth it is a great buy but only to your expectations.

I am just saying, I bought this phone and i got 0 regrets, AT ALL. The 120hz display and the dual STEREO speakers are more insane than you can imagine. All my friends are amazed by it and ofc, that RGB always gets amazed looks. Again, 0.. regrets... It also have alot of other good things but i wanted this to be a short comment for anyone considering buying it... or not.. Edit: It sucks, dont get it.

I couldn't care less about the speakers. Get rid of them and throw in something cheap and small for calls, ringing and notifications and put the dac and a headphone jack in so you can actually use it and charge at the same time.

dont underestimate the ability of this phone's square body, it can stand up on its own. It is incredibly handy for taking pictures, recording videos, flashlight without being held, etc.

It's really simple, this is not this phone's final form, this is it alpha state, and they're just testing if the general populace is willing to pay up for a superior display and sound experience and that's it. In fact, I think when they see there's market potential, they'll start improving this design and, with new display tech coming more and more, I bet they'll implemente the jack once more when it's guts can fit within the device without compromising space for the battery, display, speakers or mobo

Wireless headphones have way too much latency - like up to a quarter of a second, which doesn't sound like much, but at 120fps, that's an entire 30 frames lost before you hear it react. This makes it a crappy quality product compared last year

IMO this phone sailed the ship that HTC failed to. My dad upgraded from his One M9 to this, and what a significant upgrade it was. The 120hz is super nice as well.

I actually love this. I'm glad they gave attention to the speakers - it's not something everybody considers while buying a phone; but it's an important feature to me. I really want a loud phone. And the 16:9 thing is what I wish every company does. The majority of media is to be consumed in 16:9, it makes no sense having those extremely rectangular phones not making good enough use of screen space while playing videos. Speaking of which, the shape of the phone is again - something I wish I saw more of. What's with corner curves and being thin and stupid notches? I love the way this phone looks, along with that backlit logo. Also the battery life would be insane if you'd not even game on the thing. I don't personally enjoy mobile gaming, but the 120Hz screen and that huge battery would be excellent for just everyday use as well. .. I don't care much for the camera.

I hate the thin bottom bezel on some phones like the one on the OnePlus 6 but I do prefer 18:9 phones. They feel much more easier to use in the hand. Also, it's $800, which is another plus.

It's techtober, there's still the OnePlus 6T to try out after the pixel and Razer phones, and I'm sure Huawei and a few others will release phones before the end of the year. I'm sure in the spring where there's a lull in phone releases (Galaxy being the only major one), there's more time to explore more niche products.

DJay never used wireless charge until 2 days ago. I have a Moto z, and used the quick charge exclusively. My quick charge cable is tearing out and I don't feel like spending 30$ on a new one. The only USB c connecter I have is way too short..... I have the mod that allows for wireless charging and I found a wireless charger for 10 bucks... And wireless charging is actually really nice... Charges much slower, but I don't think I'll need to worry about a torn cable ever again. (Since cable for wireless never moves)

I still don't buy the "no space" argument in any sense. I've yet to see a phone without the jack have any feature that another phone with a headphone jack couldn't have. The Note 9 for example has the same size battery but still has the headphone jack. Anytime a smart phone manufacturer is saying "We removed the headphone jack to make space for [insert thing here]" they are 100% lying.

Got mine last friday. phone, case, and tempered glass for total 425$ amazon being sold by razer. Only issue was that i couldn't text. 1 new sim card, call to tech support, and a factory reset with verizon phone works great. Pretty fast, good sounds, and pretty amazed by the screen. Had a kyocera duoforce pro, and before the the Motorola Moto z3 with camera/battery backs. So yea, if you're patient with the phone at the start, and mess with it over time to set it to your liking, it's a great personal phone compared to most Androids. Plus the price drop is pretty amazing.

Tbh having big bezzels on that phone is actually convenient for gaming because when you play games like pubg, some areas of the screen get covered by your thumb joint on bezzel less screens whereas for this one, your hand wont cover too much of the screen

For me, Razer's use of the same Nextbit Robin chassis as the RP1 implies that they're at least seriously considering bringing Project Linda to life, and that it could be compatible with both the RP1 and RP2. Exciting stuff.

Nice, at least better than iPhone X. Most of my setup is razer and it is very clean but I will need a extend port connected to another connected to another and then place the wireless ISB on table and stuff

The future will inevitably have more and more smart phones without analog aux jacks... They're being phased out of existence, one smart phone at a time. Enjoy it from a couple brands that are keeping it for those that can't give up their wired headphones yet.. but we're ultimately moving away from wires.

I wonder when we will see dual usb c phones... If they dont wanna keep the jack, at least give us another port so I can charge and listen to stuff...

You know, you can just get type-c headphones for it.. it's pretty much the same as having normal headphones.

they sacrificed the 3.5mm jack to build in a THX-certified audio DAC. I'm not sure how much more you can improve USB sound than that.

@@NSUNS243 You know i already have good headphones. Plus i like using a keyboard through usb. Its not a huge issue though. I would probably learn to live with it.
