After launching some of the best gaming keyboards like the Huntsman and mice like the Viper, Razer is now launching a wireless 65% gaming keyboard. The Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed looks great but after using it for a while, I'm not sure this gaming keyboard is priced competitively for what's being offered.

Honestly, I think that making a video about " Leopold " Keyboards would be a good idea. It is, imo, the best brand for prebuilt keyboard, in terms of quality and price. Those are not keyboards for evryone, most of them dont include LEDS. Still, the keycaps are the best ever included on a prebuilt keyboard (double shot, PBT). People looking for quality and affordable keyboards should not miss this brand that deserve more recognition. PS: I know he already talked about it in a video, but doing a video just for the brand would be a good idea.

I am using the BlackWidow v3, and it is really fantastic. Especially love the switches as well as the sturdy build & design. What´s annoying is the finish of the metal, like Dimitri mentioned, it gets gross very fast and needs to be cleaned all the time. Additionally pricing is just 30% to high. But still love it, multi device over 2.4 Ghz and BT is also a huge plus for me. Thanks for the video!

You can't say "I'm disappointed they don't have this feature at this price point but glad because if they did it would've been even more expensive." The reason you're disappointed it's not there at that price point is because that price typically covers the cost of that feature. What is making this keyboard worth MSRP given that it doesn't have this feature? If you can't answer that, call them out for it. In another review I heard they wanted to offer multiple languages and that would've ramped up the cost of ABS but they also said they're working on ABS keycaps to sell for their own products and that seems like a much more likely reason they didn't include them here. That said, doubleshot is pretty good and standard for their keycaps generally so they have that defense.

See the thing is, Razer continously sells stuff at a really high price point, cos its "Razer" cos they are 'gamers' . The fact that you endorse this expensive keyboard shows how blind you are. Razer IMO always use cheap materials and third tier CMs to make their products. What you are essentially buying is the name/brand Razer and the triple headed snake logo.

@@shawshankredemption7793 I literally am complaining that he went easy on Razer in my comment. I never endorsed this keyboard. Now for the razer naga it had connectivity issues with synapse and ofc synapse start the first problems as software. after my experience and the experiences of others with the razer gear I never bought razer again and the only razer I still have is Goliathus mouse pad it was a gift... I used razer peripherals and corsair (icue it sucked).For mainstreet companies i recommend logitech (for evrything but the price :/ ) hyperx (mics headsets keyboards) steelseries (headsets keyboards mice) Corsair (keyboards meh stabilizers but oook, headsets ok and mouses ok but synapse sucked ) Roccat ( vulcan keyboards

It's not a matter of which part of the world you live in, I think. Razer has been putting out some good stuff, but on some of their products they still are ... well ... very ambitioned. The BlackWidow line (v3 Pro and this one especially) is a good example, it is way overpriced and honestly a little schizophrenic in terms of its design. Sure, you can argue that ABS keycaps are cheaper and enable you to do this and that all day long, but at this price there should just be PBT. Period. Asus is doing similar stuff with its Claymore II, arguably even worse.

How can Asus offer 30$ cheaper with doubleshot pbt caps AND a nice touch side panel? Still like the form factor and the 65% layout of the BlackWidow V3 Mini. The edge at the bottom should be textured and matte like on the BlackWidow pro. Maybe it is time for Razer to evolve that edge slowly into a more reduced modern shape as it is not serving any purpose and just makes the keyboard bigger. Also I am still waiting for Razer to release their PBT Keycap upgrade set for their german layout keyboards. We want PBT keycaps available on ALL Razer keyboards. Same price but difference approach. Gmmk pro build to last, also if switch damage you can replace it. Custom keyboard for yourself. But this one is wireless + bluetooth. It lightweight and small for small package that you can travel with. Bt help you connect to multi devices, it have built in battery, and way better software than glorious. All after all, i’m consider between them but i’m falling for wireless and bt. I don’t want to plug in plug out everytime i’m going. And not to worry about cable and dongle. On other hand, i also like gmmk build quality.

@Evan-bx5wb
@Evan-bx5wb 3 жыл бұрын
@@NamelessPassenger For that, you really have to think more about its quality and customizability (assuming that you want to lube the switches and mod them). And no, they are not the same price, GMMK Pro isn't $179 USD (you only get the case for that price, switches and keycaps are separate purchase). Remember that GMMK Pro has knobs, it's 75% and probably the biggest of all, gasket mount. You can't compare that to a keyboard like this one, literally an entierly different class of keyboards. GMMK Pro is "budget enthusiast".

I really want a dual wireless keyboard: bluetooth to connect to my MacBook Pro and wireless dongle to connect to my gaming PC. Arrow keys are crucial for the mac. Currently my setup is the MacBook Pro, gaming PC and Nintendo Switch, all connected to a 32" 4K Monitor, and i just switch the input to the device i'm currently using. Ideally brown switches and has to be in white to match my mouse/desk. Currently I'm using a keyboard that can switch to 5 different bluetooth settings however my gaming PC, either the bluetooth is not always connecting or the input lag is way to great (I wonder if it's because my case is aluminum and causing interference (Dan A4 case). I remember Hardware Canucks did a early look at a CoolerMaster keyboard that has this dual wireless connection (and really hope it will have a white version....maybe the same white as the CoolerMaster NR200 case).

The Fnatic streak65 is a 65% low profile keyboard with abs keycaps and switches with 1.0mm actuation and 3.2mm total travel. It also has RGB. It isn't wireless which doesn't matter to most people because a keyboard doesn't need to move. The ministreak costs around £100. The blackwidow v3 mini costs around £180 so I'd be paying an extra £80 for it to be wireless with razer yellows 1.2mm actuation & 3.5mm total travel, it isn't low profile and has issues in lighting due to synapse. Enough said?

I was debating getting this keyboard, ROG Falchion, or the Logitech G915. Wireless was a must for me and I was left with these choices. Honestly, the G915 was the first to go just because of the price, and I ended up going with the ROG Falchion. First impressions were great. The typing experience is really good, and the touch panel is super convenient. The only real downside for me was the non standard keyboard layout. Finding custom keycaps, even just for the alphanumeric caps is a PAIN. So I found myself thinking about returning it and getting the Blackwidow V3 mini where, at the very least, Razer has come out with their own pudding keycaps that are guaranteed to fit. After watching this video again, I'm glad I didn't go with the Blackwidow. That battery life seems pretty low. 20% loss in 2 hours at 100% brightness just won't do it for me. It would negate my entire reason for going wireless as I will need to frequently charge it. And just for reference, I got the Falchion 4 days ago and it was sat at 70% battery life. Since then, I've used it at 100% brightness daily while programming for about 4 - 5 hours, and 3 - 4 hours of gaming. By what you've mentioned, the Blackwidow will have been drained/very low at the end of the day. For the Falchion however, it has only gone down by 10% at 100% brightness at the workload I mentioned in 4 days. I really did almost return the Falchion to get the Blackwidow V3 mini but I'm so glad I gave your video a rewatch. A shame about the keycaps though.

Having its battery last 20hrs at 40% brightness makes me happy with my G915 TKL battery life, since it lasts 150 hrs at 50% brightness and almost 400hrs at 10% brightness, 1200hrs at 0% (says on their software but I believe it, it literally lasts me weeks of daily use), and logitech claims 40hrs at 100% brightness, while Razer claims 200hrs at 0%.
