Razor MX 650 Lithium Ion Battery Swap

The Lead Acid Batteries were dying after a few miles, so we upgraded to a 36V 20 AH Lithium Ion battery from Amazon. We should get at least 15 miles per charge with this new battery.
Easy project and the battery will last so much longer than the original batteries.

Where did you get the battery cable from, I need one of them for a new battery.

We reused the original wire by splicing it into the wire that comes with the battery.

Did you only the battery or the controller and motor too? And wouldn’t the motor or controller overheat or something ??

Just the battery. It’s still 36Volts

No, this is a 36v battery. You would need a 24v battery.

Hey brother I put a 36V battery on my daughters MX350 and that original engine took the overwattage just fine and that thing flies man. Recommend upgrading to another brake up front to stop it because its so fast. Question is how long will the motor last, mines still going stong after 8 months of 4 times a week riding and a replacement motor is only 40 dollars, so definitely a big win for the kids man.
