The glorious 90s. I remember when I got that magazine issue in the mail. I was in high school and I had a subscription to Interview magazine. I opened my mailbox and I saw her and Jamie Walters (the heartthrob from the show Beverly Hills 90210) on the cover and my jaw dropped to the ground. lol. I had a huge crush on both of them at the time. Poison Ivy was the first movie I bought on VHS tape. lol. Man. There was so much homophobia in the 90s. I'm glad that she stood up for gay people saying it's okay. I wish I had seen this interview back when it came out. I don't think she realized how many people she helped just by doing that shoot and saying, "Hey it's okay to be who you are." I'm so glad her career is still flourishing today.

One of my favorite Drew interviews on Arsenio. Well I like all the appearances and interviews Drew did on the Arsenio Hall show back in 1992. I noticed Drew was real nervous. Maybe Drew knew Arsenio was going to attack her non stop, during this interview, which was the case. But I thought Drew pulled it off, as she always successfully does! It's forgivable because it was 90's, and Drew was a young, emancipated, wild child.

She's amazing. Magnificent. A true star. Intelligence flows out of her every pore. She deserved one of the great film directors of the 30s and 40s. She got Speilberg. Oh well.

I see some comments saying her age (17) was ok because she was emancipated at 14. Emancipation does give minors the right to enter agreements (like contracts, military, marriage etc) but I do not think it changes other laws. The drinking age would still be 21, and posing nude, I would think, is still be 18.

If you look at how attitudes have changed since this interview, not that it was particularly homophobic just that it shows how far society has come since then. I honestly couldn't care less what people want to class their sexuality as but I think it's become a joke and actually does more harm than good. (I for one am so over it now) I remember when it was just lesbian and gay when the B was added lots of people wasn't very happy and it wasn't straight people who were upset, it was the old fashioned gays with many who see being bi as somewhat of a trend with people experimenting and cheapening the validity of their cause.
