Yeeeeah man! Nice vid, look forward to seeing more. Not skated in like 10 years until recently, pulled my genesys 4.1's out of storage and been loving it since. Loose and low is the only way to skate them backplates imo, I like that sort of flare on tricks though so like you said, just down to how everyone skates but yeah loose helps me. Might have to cop these and bring my set up onto the modern day! Edit: Forgot to mention my Juggernaut liners, do they even make those anymore? XD

I started recommending Razors for all the people who are just starting out. I used to skate Gens for a very short time, but had to sell it because I picked the wrong size. I got Gens once more a few days ago and they slide and lock on so well, sideways flex is just enough for grinding and supportive enough to do other maneuvers . My personal gripes are: Stock liner is pressing the bone on the outer side of my feet, this could only be me getting old and having sensitive bones. My feet also get a bit numb with the stock liners. I have not yet found a liner that fills out the shell and keeps my feet comfortable for a few hours. Negative plates could be a bit wider and uniform in width. It's a medium weight, 2010grams (size 11-12) which is pretty decent but if weight matters Aeons and Carbon(frees) are way lighter, in the 1600-1800g range. Nowdays I like to skate with a lot of forward lean, but the Gens forward lean is even too much for me.

Watching this as I still use my Razors Rebels from like 1998 or 99 lol

Thank you on the recommendation for liners. My Genesys 10/11s (cant remember) are great........ outside of the liner. They truly are terrible. The stiffened tongue just sags and shifts within minutes of riding. What did you use for shock absorbers. I might want something lower as well

Have you counted how many pairs of skates you have Law? It must some collection!

I really want Razors to bring back out the Red Genesys skate again. Matter of fact they should bring out different colours for their Genesys boots rather than a black boot all the time. Razors SL have different colours so why not do the same for the Genesys?
