The Reserve Bank of Australia was absolutely on a “path to reducing rates”, says The Motley Fool Chief Investment Officer Scott Phillips.
“Until they said last time that inflation wasn’t falling as quickly as they had expected,” Mr Phillips told Sky News Australia.
His comments come as the RBA is set to release the minutes from its last board meeting on Tuesday.

@@tom7784 no. The govt can only be as inept as a fiat currency allows. I agree. Govt comes in close second, but there is no way the power of usury and finance is subordinate to govt.

Yep, they'll keep with the fake 3.5% inflation when every sane Aussie knows it's at least 10%, as long as the media keep backing the lies many people won't wake to the truth.

The "value" of the aussie dollar is indirectly set by the USA, the RBA wants to keep the USD / AUD exchange rate stable, so what ever the Americans do to their interest rates and bond markets the RBA does too. Aussie interest rates won't drop until the Americans drop theirs. They will likely drop rates leading in the November 2024 Presidential elections, Aussie rate will be dropped too. Inflation will then run "nuts" in 2025 and rates will rise and rise until the US stock market crashes bring the world markets down with it. Then interest rates will be dropped again, if you still have your job and your house you'll be happy then.

So Labor attempt to buy votes from its budget may delay or increase inflation targets.

The basic reality around Brisbane is that a rate cut is not needed. The economy is roaring. Traffic is the big giveaway. Forget all the numbers! The housing market is white hot. Noosa over Easter was mental.

How about stop sending money on causes outside of Australia! And thank you for spending millions on a bull Yes vote, the money spent on that was rediculous.🤦 How can a nation prosper, when it's government operated out of debt, let alone it's people.

Sounds familiar to the Covid cases going up near the holidays and long weekends etc mysteriously People are about to get bit of relief with tax cuts and media start drumming up for rate hikes… So another words take the money from general public and straight in the pockets of RBA and the banks… Cases and booster shots all over again 😂
