Great tutorial! I picked up mine and love using it live. Having a hard time getting a clean recording however. Is there a way to route the audio out of the 505 into a software like Ableton, or otherwise?

Thanks Arthur , this helped a lot . A small point , but alternatively , you don't have to safe exit the usb . Just touch exit , after it says disconnecting , upgrade? , enter . Same result .

nice! i actually picked mine up the same day you uploaded this video; although i haven't opened it yet lol. But i heard a lot of the negative comparisons to it's predecessor, the MKI. So this video clarified a few things for me and i'm glad that i can update it to avoid some of the issues. Overall, a nice straightforward video, and i'm glad my investment will not be in vain. cheers~

Hi Arthur, I just bought this and also updated it but I’m having issues with the record and looping function. It records and everything but there is like a real time delay or pause and it does not loop smoothly. I hit the record, play my guitar piece but when I play it back there’s a pause before it starts playing and after it finishes. So the loop is not seem less at all like you would expect it to be. Is this something you could help With?

Hi Arthur, I am new to this machine and I hope you can help me. I have connected two microphones and two instruments (psr sx900 and Korg Nautilus). Can I route these separately to one of the five tracks? So basically using the Boss as a mixing console. I can't find this anywhere in the manual or the internet. Greeting. John

I am surprised nobody mentiones the audio quality of this thing. Just playing my alesis strike multipad through it, I can tell a huge difference in sound quality compared to the instrument going straight to my mixer, or just using its headphone jack, vs going to the looper then mixer, even if I plug my headphones into the looper. It just sounds much worse. It loses so much sound quality. The digitech jamman stereo I had was much clearer. Nobody else notices this?

I have two questions for you, one is a problem that I have with my rc 505 mk2 when I record the 5 tracks it saturates and sometimes it hangs, freezes and I have to unplug it of the current, before warning with a message that says something like loop busy... has it ever happened to you if you record the tracks with more seconds in each one of them? And the other question is, do you know how to record directly without going through the PC and do it on a Zoom h4 type recorder to record the sessions live. Will this updating the rc5050 delete my written memory? I mean all recordings i've written? Or it will be untouched? Another quesiton: if i want connect midi controler[and to use it daw program is needed so how to do it.. to be able to loop sounds from daw by midi] and in the same time be able to record the livelooping sesion on my computer - is the audiointerface necessary? If yes or if not - How to do it? Cause i doubt that conecting midi controler to boss rc505 through midicontroler input in 505 will make controler be conected with daw on the computer.. [while rc505 is connected through usb to computer]

I wish somebody would just simply make a video and say here is the rc-505 here's where you plug the guitar in and this is how you begin to use it then if they would go to each function but oh no that is just too easy every video I turn to about this it's an Overkill with words they talk about everything except for the weather and how to use this instrument

hi there. Im a complete newb to this but I hope somebody can help me out.. I recently got an mk2 and i am connecting it to my mac pro via usb. I am using OBS studio to record the sound coming from the mk2. Now here is the question.... I have noticed that in the finished recording I can hear the rhythm sound aswell. I have tried to find solutions but nothing is working for me.... To clarify all Ive done is add an extra audio source in OBS studio and chose Boss RC 505 MK2... Could somebody please explain to me as simple as possible what I need to do so that I dont hear that rhythm sound in the recording anymore .... I would be so so grateful!!! many many thanks
