​@@rodneylarson12 Hey there! :-) Yeah I DEFINITELY would!! It's a very cool unit, well built, and VERY powerful with a TON of functions & capabilities for it's size. I've been more into graphics, animation & video production up to this point, so music production is like learning another language. Dig this, it can even take a microphone and allows you to do LOOPED VOCAL EFFECTS!!! I was like WTF?!?! There's so much packed into this unit, it almost makes you put it to the side for awhile to absorb what you already learned about it lol. But now I need to be able to add MUSIC into my productions, which is why I'm getting all this music gear now. So I'm a TOTAL NOOBIE at all things musical right now... or as you say (home hobbyist) level, so this stuff is all just a bit overwhelming. The musical gear available today is SUPER HI-TECH, as compared to the old videos we see of an old man sitting on a bucket by the corner playing a guitar like Bo-Diddly or a banjo. LOL.. So for me, the goal is to become as proficient at music production as I am at doing animations & videos, then tie it all together. Well we all gotta start somewhere bro, and we gotta learn the new stuff and keep up with new technologies! This bad boy from BOSS is a DAMN GOOD starting point! 😎👍

i did some videos using keyboard applications using the RC 505

I feel like the only way to do this is to record seperately on different volumes by turning the input knob. Or putting the volume of different tracks down...

The red cable is the mic, then you have to cable for input (, 2 cable for the output (going to a mixer i think), then MIDI IN for the tr-808, then then charger

Also, make sure you have the latest 2.x firmware. It brought in a lot of new capabilities including fx-related.

It dose but you gotta time that shit perfect I personally set the mesurement before hand and run the sample on FL or have it on loop and just use 1 measurement before i record. It and just time it right.

@@nicholasmanig7190 Yeah this is the million dollar question I have been asking. If I want to loop guitar riffs, it's nearly impossible to get it to line up. I was looking for a trick to the settings or if I need to run it through something else that quantifies it.

Input FX will be live recorded on the chosen track, and can be set as "single" or "multi" mode. Single mode allows a few more effects, multi mode allows you to have up to 3 effects at once. Same for the Output FX. Both FX sections can be deactived on every track.

above each track there's a "edit" button, press it to change the track parameter including fx types

You can choose which track you want for the output effect, but you can't have 1 effect on 1 track and another effect on another track

It has the same functionality as the rc-50. Basically, you can record as many loops as you want until the memory is full.

HOW ABOUT @MARCREBILLET?

Some effects are only on A, while others are on B and C. If you have it set to where all of the effects of ABC are activated some Fx cant be accessed while certain ones are being used.

You can, it's better than any other looper on the market. But it takes a while to get good at timing when you record. If you're even a little off pressing the button it will all be off. Practice makes perfect, I'd say it's worth your money for sure.

@@whiteobama1428 It has a loop sync and cuts off exactly on the beat you are using the looper wrong if you have timing issue with the loop itself this is like the main feature of the loopstation.

@@whiteobama1428 It can cut off your recording by measure so you can press the button almost half a measure later and you will still be on time.

Sampler s are much more harder to work ,aux on this I use that wire plugged in my phone or tab and sample and loop some spoken phrases ,but I still carnt work out how to sample on my korg electribe 2 sampler

The RC 505 has one mic input and a stereo line input, which you can use at the same time. So you could use your mic for vocals and use the line input for the cajon. However you’d need either a second mic with a preamp to go into the line input of the rc 505. Also I’m sure there are cajon instruments that have a jack connector.. in which case you’d need a preamp to go into the line input of the rc 505. Otherwise you can just use one microphone, loop the cajon first, then loop the vocals after. In any case you don’t need interfaces or mixers: the rc505 is a self contained unit that does all for you. In fact it can be used as an audio interface too ;-) and it can store your loops on internal memory as well. Killer box!

Doctor Mix My cajon doesn't have a jack connector. I need to mic it up. I'm buying EC 10M cajon processor and a sundrum but I'm not sure how I'll connect them to RC 505. I have a guitar amp which has 1 line output, 1 guitar output, 1 keyboard output (which i use for my electronic drums). Please help

You can't with just the looper

just records multiple tracks into a daw; i connect rc 505 to yamaha ag06 and from there to ipad cubasis

when turn on multiple fx, one particular fx can only be used with some other fxs, check our the manual for detail table

you press the edit button of the desired track, then with the right arrow button search for "measure" , and then choose "FREE"

@@ValSlowskySuperNoval Can you do this while it's playing other tracks? The Boss RC300 can only do this when you stop ALL playback. Kinda stupid I think..
