Theyre often On ebay, The ducati upriser (toy grade bike) is still for sale for around £30 (42 dollars) but the thunder tiger and nuova faor electric or nitro bikes are hobby grade so are way more expensive but much, much better

Oh yeah its far quicker :) the nitros only a little .12 engine though, they come alive with a .18 😁 Yeah they are really stable, you usually find people who have trouble with them falling over have fixed the steering rod solid to the servo so it cant stabilise itself or they havent reversed the steering lol these bikes counter steer like the real ones :)

@@steveo726 believe it or not the only one here with a true gyro is the toy grade ducati panigale which is electronic gyro :) The 1/5th scale bikes rely on their alloy wheels to provide a gyro effect and the 1/8 kyosho (aprilia) has plastic wheels but a metal ring in the wheel to provide the same effect, the steering is a big part of the stability as the castor/rake allows a shopping trolley effect to always let the wheel point in direction of travel, this is why having a sprung steering arm is so critical otherwise its not allowing the bike to self stabilise :)

@@ChrisJohnsoniShootnRaw standard is just bent piano wire, we sometimes use 5mm nylon rod, it's more visible but lasts longer and absorbs impact in crashes, im thinking about making some videos about modifying and setting up these bikes soon so keep an eye out for them 🙂👍

The gyroscopic effect from the spinning wheels and the geometry of the front forks (rake,castor, trail) Not unlike a real motorbike

Although the ducati upriser uses rollers as the rear 'tyre' and gyros, it's abit toy grade and not really realistic but it's good fun 🙂

The red wheelying ducati uses an electronic gyro and rollers in the back tyre, that's a toy grade bike. The blue yamaha and the nitro ducati don't use gyros at all, they work just like real motorbikes

The nitro version was around £250 when it came out around 17 years ago, they go for around £300 second hand now although you can get them cheaper if you are lucky 😉
