There's also a "child mode" on the tx that limits power. It's roll over prone so take turns easy. Highly recommend oil shocks. These share many parts with the Wltoys 12428. Thanks for watching 🤙! Slower/torque application, go with the lower kv ratings. Under 3000kv. The wheel extensions are a great idea since this is roll over prone.

Here's a link to a combo for reference. Seems like 2800kv is the lowest for a 2845 motor. It should still be pretty quick on a 3s. Might be able to find it cheaper if you piece them out, but this comes with a program card. a.aliexpress.com/_mr5VU1r

AliExpress or BG has the best deals, but shipping can take awhile. There's different kv options too.

Thanks for watching🤙! I use a 3200mah 3s in mine, and it fits perfectly. You can see it in my FY08 battery compartment video and my first run video. I just recommend strapping or zip tying the cage so the battery doesn't come out like my vid. Hope this helps👊!

Correct, racestar was just the cheapest I could find. It's about the size of motor that can fit, I was originally planning a 3650, but the diameter is too large. So the 2845 had to do. The mounting holes are the same. Gear mesh is set by turning the motor mount plate within the motor mount brackets. Hope this helps 🤙!

It's an awesome RC and my heart's in it. The only negative is the roll over tendencies. Definitely check out my other videos on it if you get a chance, also my other builds.

@@motorheadaddictions2761 thankyou so much, man. for sure i’ll be checking out other builds, just subbed. that rollover problem couldnt be more true, the chassis is way too high and the suspension is way too stiff, but once we get used to it, it’s a blast. im also planning on getting cosmetic parts, like metal exhausts, air filter using src and maybe windshield using plastic sheets.

Thanks for watching. I transplanted the stock electronics to my FY03 to turn it into the brushless version. The FY08 got the same blue "120a" esc that I fried in my 144001 build. I upped the esc because I'm running the 5900kv on 3s and I know I'm pushing the limits. It's holding up tho. I think the 14401 couldn't take the blue esc because I'm running the 3650 5900kv in it, vs the 2835 in the FY08. If you go with a lower kv(~3500), ESC swap isn't necessary. Post some vids or let me know what direction you go, I'd like to check it out.

Forgot to mention to check out the body removal video for a look inside of these. I've since swapped out the esc in that vid, but good to get a look. You can seen the blue esc in my 144001 videos.
