Hi! Welcome to our RC competition video!
Who: Los Angeles Crawlers
When: February, 23 2019
Where: Corona Del Mar (Lookout point), Newport beach, California
We had another great event done at no other than Corona Del Mar beach!
What else can you ask for when you have beautiful beach, cool ocean breeze and exo-planet like rocks under nice warm southern California sun?
Awesome little RC trucks!!
We had exactly that!

Even though the rocks aren't that close, about 2 hours away, I feel blessed to have them around me. I'll try to take advantage of it by making more videos haha. Thank you for the comment and the motivation!

Thanks rick. I’ve visited Miami and key west years ago and it was most beautiful state I’ve seen. Defiantly flat tho haha I’m sure there are some rocky area.. good luck finding the spot👍

You got that right. This place is truly unique. Perfect weather, beach backdrop, and rock shaped like it came from alien planet! And powerwagon was the champion in class 3. very skillled driver!

It is indeed a very sweet place to do something like this. The distance from my house is the only reason I can’t go every weekend. LA traffic does not make it any better 😩

Great location, what a wonderful sport to get into. I can imagine real crawlers would benefit from a drone arial video feed to help them see there positioning while on extreme tracks, just thought of it while watching this video.

Just a heads up for CDM, we had organized comps there before (2010) till the park ranger saw us, came over and handed out tickets to the club organizers, they want you to be insured, fill out park permits to hold meets etc, not trying to burst your bubble but just a heads up for court fees and time spent. The permits and insurance was something like $1300 for the fees. There are rules posted up some place maybe RCC.com, where the rangers came up with certain rules. example no less than 15 feet to the cliffs, no encroachment of footpaths, etc.

Thank you. I honestly don’t know what chassis or axle the truck has. I held the truck and it was very light and well balanced. I should’ve asked what it was. Perhaps next time.

flushot 09 main course was for class 2 and 3. The course by the water (gray tf2 and vanquish were running) was for class 1. Class 1 runs on smaller 1.9 tires up to 4.13” and class 2 runs on tires up to 4.75”. Mostly we run 1.9” wheels but you go bigger or smaller.

Mojave ADV if you’re referring to the truck that was running after 6:00 minute mark, it competed in class 3. Front tires are too far apart ( extend past width of cab) and front bumper is missing to fit class 2 (from what I can see). By the way he placed the 1st in the class.

I personally don’t own one. But from what I’ve seen, i can say it’s a good crawler. You get a lot of top quality parts for the dollar. However, like any other crawlers, it can’t compete with top dogs in stock form. It will need a lot of tuning and modification to make it very capable. Keep in mind that VS410 in the video did very well on the c1 course but it already had upgrades including vanquish F9 portals. Stock axles seemed to get caught easily.

andrewupsidedown That truck would fly through every obstacles we threw at it. Very capable. It was classified and competed in class 3. We ran both class2 and 3 in same course
