If you are having idle problems (dukeofrc), just tweak your low end needle around until it smooths out. It is easy to get too rich or lean on the low, but if you find a place it is stable you can easily smooth it with 1/8 turns at a time.

Drop a YS 140 in that thing wonder if it would climb better? That OS did okay I have seen a few of these hanger 9 p-51's that are just dogs hardly do a loop.

I Know it is a very old video, but I just got the vary same engine and facing problems, The pressure regulator near the carb began to leak after 5 flights. AND the engine began to weaken on high ends. Is that ok to leak? Could that lekage be the reason of such weakness on high ends? Thank you

How many rpm would you get on the ground with the this motor and prop? Does 9400 sound right?
