Good one Dave. I love four strokes, the bigger the better. My largest single is a Saito 150 [going into a Stuka] , Saito 100 twin and my pride and joy is my Saito 120 r3 triple.

Love it! I have an OS FS-90 and it sounds exactly like this. Love the slow idle! Haven't ran it in over 25 years but after seeing your video I have the urge now! Just wish I had a field in my backyard like you do. Enjoy!

OMG. I love your channel. I watched your video on the 91 four stroke which I am getting ready to start. The tip about heating it up to get things loose was a gem. I just made a test stand. It's gonna go on a great plains u can do (obviously yet to be finished ) The next one after that is a 120 OS that's never seen fuel. That one is going on an ultimate biplane that is even less built than that u cando. Wings and fuse are covered. Needs radio, servos, fuel tank and engine. OK, I'll get back to watching this video. 😅 OK, I watched the rest of the video. Feel free to post more videos of this engine as you get it dialed in! It's exciting for some of us. Lol

One of those is in my engine cabinet right now with zero hours since major overhaul. It's a great engine. The FS 120 Surpass is not significantly more powerful and doesn't look nearly as good without the twin rocker covers. Maybe I'll convert it to spark ignition and fly it again on no nitro fuel. Mine threw props way too often until I was told to try a lower oil content fuel. It runs perfectly on a glow fuel blended for the big Super Tigres which has 12% oil. It would probably run well on 18%-20% oil with an extra head gasket added.

Great first run to be a pre surpass, i've noticed that very old os F glow plugs have a little shorter space between hexagonal and flat surface to copper washer, (something like 12 to 16 thousands) compared to newer ones. My glow igniter does not turn to lock position in older ones only.

I'm always surprised by how many vintage engines are new in box.

Very good and smooth run with a nice low idle.This is a really great engine. My biggest four stroke engine is the Saito FA 120 "golden knight" (which runs very good but not so smooth, maybe higher compression ratio?). I have some OS Max four stroke engines my collection as well, FS 40, FS 20 and FS 91 Surpass, all running great. Thanks for the videos and explanations.

ah-'swunnwerful-ah, eh? Now have a standard of comparison when the old OS FS120 languishing on shelf in the model hangar (a closet here) is run to scare the neighborhood cats and coyotes here on the edge of the prairie. I do not know what to mount on this engine in the way of an airframe, I was thinking of a flying boat with a 12 foot piper cub wing, but that is too ambitious. I don't have the spirit to put it on a big pattern plane.
