The G6-01 is a full build up 6x6 truck kit that comes with the motor, you get to add your choice of electronics. The big features on this G6-01 are the pre-painted Volvo A60H cab body and abs molded dump bed. The chassis and other supported parts are now molded in a bright yellow to match the body. We assembled our kit and took this hauler out bashing. The G6-01 is a fun all around kit and delivers a lot of action whether you're speeding around your backyard or a dirt lot. I don't know why, but I really want to get one of these and put some drift tires on it and drift it.. I've never seen a 6x6 drifter before and the pure silliness of a Volvo dump truck drifting appeals to me.

I normally don't like the yellow rims on vehicles but on this one is definitely works. And I won't be too surprised if someone figures out how to make the dump bed functional.

I have never driven an RC dump truck. The Tamiya Vovo hauler looks like its fun to drive. I wish the dump bed could by raised from the transmitter instead of having to raise it up by hand.

Very nice detailed video with the Tamiya. I myself am looking for a tipper for my Huina 1580, of course speed is not important. I would build the vehicle very slowly but with a lot of power. Can you recommend narrow tires and rims for the front. Maybe also very soft dampers?

It looks scaled but somewhere down the line it does seem like it’s got a plastic toy feel in some aspects just by looking at the video. I would rather save up bit more and go for something more of a metallic feel.

josh_rit i have many Tamiya kits. FF03pro, F104proV2, F103, TT01, DF03ra, M-05, M-07, etc. Their best kits are the TRFs. Most of their kits are awesome but lately I don’t understand what they’re doing. Lots of these cartoonish kits like this and “comical” versions. I wish they would just focus on re-releasing some classic bodies, if not kits. Kyosho re released the optima and ultima kits. Tamiya would do well to re release the rally 959 kit, most of the rally and DTM bodies from the 90s, etc. I think much of it has to do with whatever is popular in Japan. For EX: mini4wd has almost no following out side of Japan

It can be built 4 wheel steering with a second servo.

It's not the same thing! Articulated dump trucks have rigid front axle and it's the whole front cab and axle that pivot and steer. This thing is just a 6 wheel drive ifs platform. Nothing realistic to the real truck.
