The cycling function for the nixx batteries is mainly for breaking them in the discharge is if you have a pack that you arent using so you can discharge it or if you would like to see if the battery is holding as many mah as the pack says

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I just got this charger recently, and it's the first I've had that has more than the just plug and play features. I read through the manual, and while it tells you what it does, it wasn't very helpful in explaining why you might need these feature.

One more question regarding the discharging on the NiMH batteries, for the final voltage range in the cheat sheet section for the various types of batteries it says for NiCd/NiMH - voltage level 1.2v / cell, fast charge rate 1-2c, and cell voltage cutoff level .85v / cell (NiCd), 1v / cell (NiMH). So, for example would a 7 cell 3000 mah be set at 7v for final voltage range, or is this just 8.4v? I don't quite get the optimal discharge and final voltage. Actually, I just re-watched your video and my question was answered right at the beginning, but now I had a question as to what the cell voltage cutoff level rating is, and where is it used?

Final voltage is what you want your battery voltage at when its done discharging, optimal discharge is the quickest and safest reccomendation

What the amperage on the charger means is per hour so it would charge at max at 7 amps per hour so there would no problem charging your battery just make sure you change the max mah setting to above 10000 in the main menu. It should take somewhere around 90min to charge your battery on max settings

I understand the 2000 mah Lipo charge rate would be 2.0 and a 3300 would be 3.3. Does the same rule apply for Nimh batteries???

Rc Outdoors I'm looking for a lipo/life charger discharger with storage function, do you still like this one or is there anything better out in your opinion.

I absolutely swear by the Venom PRO series chargers because you cant really beat em. I love mine. If you dont want to spend $230 and dont need 4 ports you can get the PRO-DUO for around $99 or the PRO-3 for around $80 they all have the same specs except the PRO-QUAD can charge LiHV while the others cant

Rc Outdoors I just ordered the pro Duo, also it did say it can charge hv aswell, this charger was recommended to me by a subscriber but thanks to your reviews and response I feel great about the purchase.
