Another thing. About the Carlton game. I think it was likely tactical playing Deconing as a forward in the first quarter. What I am saying is, that them scoring 6 goals on us in the first quarter could happen if we play them again. Cos, they in my opinion looked to be taking advantage of a lack of natural height in our backline. I know we were likely flat cos of the Geelong game. But, if we don't do something next time, like drop Max back in the hole. I can see us conceding 6 to nothing in the next game we play against them. If we ever play Carlton again, we need an answer to the start of Deconing making the extra tall in their forward line. I don't think we had six in a row scored against us by accident. I think it's more likely deliberate. We need to get this right next time. It's more likely in my opinion we just couldn't hack the first quarter pressure combined with the extra height, than it was flatness. A hall mark of the Brissi side of 2000's was their body work. They had first rate body work. I was a hallmark in the Geelong recent premiership, I expect it in the bombers side, and clearly Carlton have it across the whole field. So, when you add that on top, it's no accident we couldn't handle it when the game was hottest in the first quarter. We need to revise our first quarter strat against them and pay it more attention. They had us by the scruff of the neck in that first quarter, and we couldn't hack it. And it's very likely to happen again in the first quarter if we don't address it. They had us by the scruff of the neck cos we could not keep the scores out, but we were also doing a lot right at the same time. If we chalk it up to flatness being the sole explanation as to why it happened, it is very likely to happen again. But, if we see it as bodywork, intensity, and a height problem, then we are very likely to change that 6 goal first quarter deficit into a 2 goal or a 1 goal deficit in the first quarter.

WCE are an example of how dangerous you can be getting your spine right. Port Adelaide when we played them were the other. If your not switched on they can score heavily, and quickly. And all I'm talking about, is only getting the right body sizes in the right places.

Until you realise that your forward game is lacking, you wont win another finals game. Defense and midfield is good, forward line is bottom 8 quality.
