Thanks so much for this video - I also have this 4Runner and bought this same fender flare set (which is how I ended up here). The product is great but the install instructions are weak at best. I literally watched this video all the way through, then came back and watched a part, paused it, went and did the work, then came back and watched more. Super helpful.

I want a set for mine. But apparently they don’t ship to Canada. The only flares I can find in Canada for the 4Runner is the Bushwhacker pocket flares. I don’t like how they look and they cost more than twice as much

Good video. What surface of fender flares did you install? We’re they the textured, or textured with rhino skin? Trying to decide which to order, and I like the look of the flares in the video. Thanks.

Has anyone removed this type of flare after a couple of years? My flares on my ol 2001 F250 had 3M tape that held the top of the flare to the body. They were still perfect when I just sold the truck after 20 years. I'm thinking that the rubber trim on these is going to vibrate and move slightly on washboard roads (where I live) and the dirt and sand will make a nice little track in the paint.

I agree the gasket might vibrate into the paint a bit but not sure long term.

So you utilize the existing or newly drilled screws but how does the top part stay attached to the vehicle with out pulling away from the vehicle. And in the sections you have to drill so they give you markings as to where?how have they held up since you put them on.

@@AdventureBuilt does it utilize double sided tape on the upper parts of the fender flare. I just saw you put on and mention a gasket .

So for the most part they go over the factory flares except rear piece? Please give followup update on how they are doing.

As you can tell by the jackets we filmed in March. We had a lot going on with current events creating a delay. But it has held up after 500+ trail miles. I highly recommend the screws in the rear doors, as the get the most movement and abuse.

What offset are you running to clear the UCA’s? I promise I’ll stop asking questions one day.

Haha no worries...my method wheels are at a 0 offset. However I rub at full lock. I think that the -12mm offset would have been perfect.

i have a question, if you need to take the front bumper then the flares have to be removed correct as they arent split from the fender to bumper?

No you don’t have to remove the front bumper to install the front flares. They actually go over the factory flares.

During install the bumper doesn’t come off that I know since I saw your awesome video. I mean in the sense that if you have to remove the front bumper for something, maybe a future mod then the flares have to come off so you can remove the front bumper.

@@JayM026 Yes, they would need to be removed in order to drop the front bumper for headlights or any other mods.
