Professor is asking simple, open-ended questions and just enjoying the answers. Malema is wise, and he's clearly made it his job to know what's good for South Africans even against their own preference sometimes, but its still good for them anyway, like it or not.

I once thought Julias was hallucinating with his stance on borders until i landed in Europe. No borders and EU citizens can work in any EU member state without a work permit or visa , all they need is their passport from their country of origin🙆. Only airports have immigration services . Of course the majority of SADC and Africa as a whole has to be functional to avoid people flocking to SA but i realised that only idiots will make noises about borders coz they dont know what it is like out there. There is still a massive labour shortage in Germany despite free movement of poorer EU nationalities.
@talesoleatsekatane62673 ай бұрын
Of course it's always foreigners advocating for this nonsense
@gopolanglekoto3 ай бұрын
LOL look at you the genius calling people who disagree with you "idiots". The EU is nothing like the AU. There is massive disparities between African countries in terms of infrastructure, development, and State welfare services in a way that you don't see in Europe. Europe is largely equal. People aren't travelling from poor country to rich country in Europe. They are going from one relatively rich country to another relatively rich country, not what you guys want here in Africa. Stop pretending that someone from Sudan going to South Africa is just like someone going from Germany to Norway.😂 Funny how you admit ''Africa as a whole has to be functional to avoid people flocking to SA"😂 So, no. Let's keep those borders in place (I'm waiting for you to tell me colonialists created the borders).

You sound like the whole of Africa is in SA. You are crazy....There are many people in Africa whom even if you pay 1 trillion will never accept to come to SA. Stop using a few people who are longing for survival anywhere from other countries in Africa to sccape goat Africa. You think other countries in Africa is poor went look at the sharks you are living in and making noise. There are millions of SAs in search of greener pastures allover Africa and in countries worse than the African countries you claim are poor. When you look at the lifestyle of people in Nigeria who have never traveled to SA do you see misery? Go fend for your own life and stop talking shit. Julius is correct. Did you choose in the spirit real before birth your nationality to be SA? You are proud of stupid things that you should sit on and reflect and be thankful for. Don't let the street lights in Joburg deceive you.

Different cultures, different customs, different aspirations and different languages, in reality more people equal more problems. We have more diversity currently in this country than any other, it's good and at the same time it comes with great challenges. Imagine you run an orphanage, your orphanage relies on donations from other countries to survive. All the other orphanages in the vast area surrounding yours also relying on donations from other countries. How will it help to unite all the orphanages, what will end up with? I believe things will be worse. Rather when one orphanage makes progress share the methods with the other orphanages so they can do for themselves and learn from the mistakes of others and don't make the same mistakes. His manifesto has been tried over and over in Africa it doesn't work for the people, his manifesto is a recipe for famine, war and failed states. Only the elite few that hold political power benefit while the people starve. After colonialism in Africa’s ended many countries nationalised and adopted socialism in the 1960s. Foreign companies were nationalized, a string of state-owned enterprises were established and a plethora of state controls on rent, prices, imports and foreign exchange were imposed to capture the economy. But nowhere in Africa was the socialist experiment successful. It was a miserable fiasco in countries including Angola (under dos Santos), Benin (under Kerekou), Ethiopia (under Mengistu), Ghana (under Nkrumah), Guinea (under Toure), Mali (under Keita), Mozambique (under Chissano), Tanzania (under Nyerere), and Zambia, Libya (under Gaddafi) among others. Workers on Ghana state farms barely produce enough to feed themselves let alone the nation. In Tanzania, Ujamaa destroyed the country’s agriculture. Ethiopia’s villagization program did the same. Zimbabwe socialist experiment ended in disaster, transforming the country which used to be called the breadbasket of the region into a net food importer, with millions facing starvation. Millions fled the country into neighboring countries including South Africa. His role models include Gaddafi and Mugabe, I see why as they lived in absolute luxury with absolute power while the nation starved to death.

It's all good to have a hyper nationalist, hyper protective Immigration policy. However, it presumes that South Africa will have perpetual advantage and be the country that other neighbours need more than they need the neighbour. This is short sighted. Lets not have short term memory. Example: Botswana years ago was a seemingly hopeless desert with poor nomads.... until Diamonds... look at Botswana today!? They're a high volume consumer of South African goods. The fact that countries like Zimbabwe seem like undesirable neighbours doesn't mean it will always be that way. Immigration policy should be forward thinking.

Public hospitals and public schools still exist not because of good service, simply because our ppl do not afford to private services. No jobs and lack of skills. A lot of public schools in the townships closed permanently. I’ve heard Julius try to argue the subject of boarder-less state and use Limpopo as an example. If he’s analogy was anywhere near the truth, Gauteng wouldn’t be the most populous province in the country. The issue with politicians sometimes is that they too detached from reality on the ground.
