Well, give basically every Assassin a sequel and he will almost immediately gain into context and popularity (just look at how much better Arno was in the dead kings dlc). For me ezio is nice as a whole, but if we only talk about ACII I didn't really appreciate him much. It's brotherhood who made him a leader for me. Plus it has always bothered me to see that 50% of side quests are like avenging cheated wife's and seducing, like the guy Has to fck or what xD

He was stripped from his high rank and had to build it up again, grow questions, and even became a new man, according to Malik. Take to Revelations where his wisdom and compassion was truly shown, he refused to kill Assassins except the ones who were tainted by Abass’s rule. Ezio’s tale was learning from Vengeance and chose his own path, and this affected him greatly throughout his years as an Assassin.

@João Vítor Alves Silva yeah but several huge key differences - firstly though Ezio starts out as bloodthirsty and immature it is clearly depicted as being a bad thing, he develops past that point quite quickly and whilst he never loses his talent for revenge he is never as ridiculously cartoonishly chipper about murdering innocent guards and the like or even those who have done wrong in the way that Jacob almost constantly is. Yes the writers on Syndicate half arsed a few scenes with Jacob relating to Roth where he is shown to have some sort of line that he won't cross morally - however he does not change as a character and these scenes are not honest nor genuine he still has and continues to murder innocents with little care or thought. In Jack the Ripper yes they show Jacob as more mature and less of an arse however once again this is neither honest nor genuine as there has been no development to this point and indeed he is only around like this for what, 5 minutes? In the Jack the Ripper "Jacob" is a totally different character to the main game's Jacob. On top of all this (whilst humor is of course subjective) Jacob is never really charming and just seems to be trying far too hard ("Assassin Christmas"...). His jokes are immature. This matches quite well with his personality overall as he has one hell of a chip on his shoulder which appears to fuel him throughout his killing spree across the game, he is also someone who does not seem to care much about the consequences of his actions at large as depicted quite clearly and very intentionally in the game often through comments made by Evie, which makes his reasoning or the murders that he commits suspect at best. Jacob is not only an irritating character he is taken as a whole a rather selfish immature and immoral character.

I like connor too! I think people just hate home because he came after the Ezio trilogy. I also loved playing as Haytham. It would be awesome to get another game around that time period with cameos from other assassins and templars on the colonial timeline.

no achilles didn't berate him, he was merely presenting a more realistic view of the world which connor was two immature at that point to see. He was reminding him that his idealistic hope for the world will not end well. Other than that he has always been on connor's side considering the guy literally trained and taught him for years and let him live in his house and feed him. Connor was kind of rude to achilles, calling him a failure of an assassin and a bad mentor. This is particularly out of character for connor since he always show respect toward others even his fallen enemies, it makes no sense why he would disrespect the mentor yet respect those that rob others of their humanity over money.

Dude don't even bother explaining Connor to this clown who made the vid. He just hates him. One of his points was that Connor wasn't emotion and "didn't make me laugh". I mean how do you expect a kid who watched his mom die suffering in fire act. Matter of fact he lost his friends and everything he knew at that point.

But the problem is when you seperate them, they become unbearable or uninteresting. Long story short this is how the story of Syndicate each sequence until the ending. You play an interesting mission with Evie, you play boring missions as Jacob where you always screw up everytime and cause London to almost economically collapse and you fix his fuck ups with Evie. Repeat. It's painfully generic, formulaic, basic and simplified.

The Eagle - lol, that Elise was a thot? He acted like a love sick puppy the whole story, then when she died he was all depressed and pissy. That’s fine and all but it didn’t drive his character towards anything, he still was excommunicated from the Creed and still was practically the same old Arno at the end of the story, just with less charisma. I personally hated the story and his arc. Not like he was any more/less interesting than Connor, in my opinion anyways.

Unity was not bad at all story wise it had a good plot twist and how rouge's ending tied into arno's story it just had a lot of bugs but had potential. But I didnt like syndicate or Jacob at all. London looked great but I dont like being stuck in 1 city when even in the 1st ac you could travel to multiple (not arguing with your opinion just stating mine cuz I have unpopular ones too so I get it)

I haven't played the games yet but from what I've seen I agree. Both Arno and Jacob sound nice, though I kind of understand where the criticism is coming from if they really don't have their full amount of development. I've watched playthroughs of Unity and oh my god Arno is great.

So even though it came way later when the game was reaching a finish, he DID develop his personality by the time, hence him being developed. Also assuming before commenting is never the best way to go about this. Not every Connor "fanboy" is gonna accuse you of dick riding because that makes absolutely no sense. Connor's faults are in no way because of Ezio, everyone knows or at least should know that.

Cannor should be ahead of Arno, Jacob and Evie. Jacob was just plain stupid in the main story and Evie seems to be focussing more on Shroud than the people. Arno is a good character but to me he is just a copy of Ezio. Just compare their stories. Their father's were killed by Templars who were the main villains, both charming, their first love dies and both of them have the same goal of killing the man who is responsible for their father's/step-father's death. Evie and Jacob were generic original characters but had less character development. So in my opinion 1. Ezio 2. Edward 3. Altair 4. Shay 5. Connor(still by favorite character and he is one man Army)+ Bayek 6. Arno 7. Evie and then Jacob

A Connor-Arno-Shay standoff- the most epic way to wrap things up 3 Main characters, possible ways of introducing Jacob and Evie's grandfather as potential recruits for Assassins or Templars. Shay vs Connor and Arno tries to convince both to join their side. Set in the War of 1812. Canada and United States setting. Edward-Haytham-Connor saga- three spinoffs Edward with the English Brotherhood, Haytham dealing with the loss of his father, his choices to join the Templars, "Forsaken" arc and finally meeting Kahetio (I dont know how to spell Connor's mother's name). A Connor mini spin off showing his daughter and his later life and death after AC 3. Bayek- The MOST NEEDED TRILOGY IN THE FRANCHISE. THIS IS UBISOFT'S LAST CHANCE TO MAKE AC GREAT AGAIN.

Ubisoft really should make a Connor-Arno-Shay game. The dlc of Unity ended with Arno sending the apple of eden to the assassin hq in Egypt and with Shay still in Europe. It was perfectly setup for a sequel combining Unity and Rogue involving the Napoleonic Wars in which Napoleon lead assaults through Egypt for the apple. Would also be cool to tie in with Origins to see the country 1800 years after Bayek.
