IN 1975 i made a recording with my band in the recording studio, i had a fender champ, and i place a microphone on front, 5 inches away, the sound was a fender amp sound clean,perfect, later in 1978 ,recording studios had a policy ,"not microphones in front the amp" because the "hum" sound of the amp, made difficult for recording enginners to mixdown, i had to plug all the way to the mixing board , never was the same...later on, the pedal boards came with noise gate ..but is not the same

Such fluidity, sophistication, knowledge, and maturity. Modern students (c. 2022) can still learn a preposterous amount from watching this, with maybe a couple of references explained here and there.
