Man, I wish kids these days could grasp the joy boy bands brought us back in the day. Waiting until TRL was on every day to see their videos. Buying teen magazines to hang them all over our walls. Freaking out with informercials came on for their CD's. They will never understand the excitement bc it's instant now. Best time to grow up was with 90's-00's boy bands!

Mallory Dietz I totally agree! The closest thing I can compare it to now would be K-Pop/International artists, and the wave they caused. Groups like BTS, BlackPink, GOT7, and DAY6 (ok the last one is technically not “K-Pop”, but I love Jae Park and totally recommend his cover songs, “That Thing You Do” had me hooked lol) along with a lot of other singers who make it worth waiting for the physical copies of their CDs because they include poster(s), photos, pins, “secret access” codes etc., and each one is random as to what member might be featured in your “set”. 😊 It’s just one of the things that I noticed (and now appreciate all over again) groups incorporating in their sales/marketing now, I really think that’s a main reason for the new wave of boybands and girl groups now from Asia. 🤗

@@safersephiroth943 It's still a studio album. In the end it's all messed up, as the original album from 1997 was changed in the US version (some songs were replaced). So the first US album is a kind of compilation (9 of the 14 songs from the original debut album + 4 new songs). In Germany the second album was "The Winter Album" with 6 of the Christmas songs and 6 normal Songs (4 of the the new songs from the first US Album + 2 new original songs). For germans this was a whole new studio album, but it was count as a compilation, as some of the songs were released earlier on the first US album. I really don't know why they did all this.

Should be able to tell by the dance style, music style, filming and fashion. I wasnt born in the 1930s, but I can tell when I'm watching a movie made in the 1930s. 90s boybands have zero association with the decade of bellbottoms, afros, funk and disco music.
