Asian languages are actually different from each other. Like you can’t be Chinese and understand an entire Korean conversation. And the format for Korean sentences is like the opposite of English, which makes it very different from the construction of Japanese sentences. Like how I’ve heard that Filipinos are able to slightly understand Spanish conversations. You can’t really do that with Asian languages I recommend Blackpink Journey and Friendship KZfaq documentary for more insight into the girl’s close relationship and then their individual documentaries on KZfaq for their individual personal struggles. Lisa’s documentary especially made me cry lmao.

I am Thai and I want to tell you that Asian languages are all different. But there are Thai and Lao language that are very similar and are written very similarly. In the northeastern part of Thailand, they speak the Lao language at all. But in Thailand it is called Isan language. And I can say that Thai, Korean, Chinese, Japanese are very different since the writing and pronunciation but have some words that have the same pronunciation and meaning. I studied Korean for 3 years and it's still very difficult for me because there is nothing like Thai at all.

Asian languages are very different from each other and there are tons of them. I am from India. And we have 22 official languages. And 1300+ dialects. We don't have one specific language. In our country each state/province speak different language which is completely different from each other. And Tamil (one of the Indian language) is actually the oldest language in the world which dates back to 600 BCE.

My bias queen Jennie I know K-pop since 2011 and I like it in many groups, but there is something different about this girl She got my attention before debuting. I became a fan of Black Pink because of her, she's really talented and there's something different about her.😍👑 I used to see girl groups but I wasn't a fan too much, but when I saw the debut of Black Pink and saw Jennie rap in boombayah and whistle I was shocked! How could this girl be so full of charisma and talent at the same time? When she raps I was shocked she is queen of rap but also her voice is perfect her dance is amazing I've never seen an idol girl like her so proud of her 🥺👑🔥

I love them all so much, but JENNIE really stands out to me the most, since the very first time I saw them. She has SO MUCH charisma and stage presence! And she has this "quiet confidence" that is very attractive. She "commands attention" without having to do much, it's just the way she carries herself. Also, she's a damn great vocalist and rapper, it doesn't surprise me people refer to her as "an ACE". Not to mention how bloody beautiful she is! Girly is gorgeous! Her face is so pretty.

Jennie's confidence and stage presence is out of this world and at the same time she's the shyest member and the only introvert of the group

If you really want to know a bit about their relationships, you should check out the journey and friendship video, it's really sweet and you can kind of get how they became blackpink up until 2019, so a bit outdated, but still so good and I think it's shows a bit better than the docu on netflix, but that is a good watch too

HIIII Jisoo is actually acting in her first-ever Kdrama called snowdrop (the last episode recently aired on January 30) and its coming out on American Disney plus soon so I REALLY hope u can check it out :))

A beautiful fan made video which shows you how close the members are to each other as well as their connection to their fan base.

Japanese, Chinese, Korean are all very different. There are a few crossover words because of shared histories, but different grammar, writing systems, etc. European equivalents would be like English, Italian and Russian.

You should definitely check out Blackpink House , Blackpink Diaries & 24/365 with Blackpink . You can find it on their official youtube channel (playlist) . It's worth it 😉

I am OT4 all the way, I love all these ladies equally for different reasons and cannot pick a bias. Jisoo is a true beauty, EVERYBODY who has met her in person says it, every time. Asian languages are really different from each other. mostly in asian countries, it is pretty normal to know at least 3 laguages/dialect

I literally thought the same thing about rose’-avril vibe. She showed me for how much they are so identical when she sing the final bridge in “Pretty Savage”. Not gonna lie Avril’s face comes in my mind when i first heard the song.

I got pretty excited to see you reacting to this guide. It’s one of my favorites. If you want to get into how they were formed Blackpink Journey and Friendship would be a great one to check out. I know I’ve recommended them already but just in case, Forever Young and Don’t Know What To Do are great dance practices to watch cuz there are no mvs and the choreo is dope. Btw, not saying you should rush by any stretch but I wouldn’t worry too much about there not being much of a discography. The discography is limited compared to other groups but it’s all quality and though they don’t quite as many tracks as we’d like there’s still a pretty fair amount of content. Reality shows(Blackpink House, Blackpink Diaries, 24/365) variety shows(Weekly Idol, idol Room, Knowing Brothers etc) vlives, and their own KZfaq channels. Just sayin, I think there is plenty if you’re doing the deep dive and I may be biased but I’m pretty confident the more you watch the more you learn and the more you stan them. So when Lisa is speaking languages :- Thai Japanese ,Chinese, Korean and English , she is speaking different languages not dialects. In india almost all people which means 18% population of the world speaks at least 2 languages. Also asia has many many many languages with 1000 times more dialects. I am an Indian and in India there are 22 official languages with more than 1500 languages and over 30,000 dialects.

I might be wrong, but according to my Korean wife, most Asian languages derive from a form of Chinese.

asain languages are similar to european languages in that they all have certain root features, but in the way that russian is totally different from french, chinese is entirely different from japanese. they sound roughly similar to an untrained ear, but wildly different as soon as you realise the base characteristics

I do some self study in japanese and korean language. as of now, i can read and write the korean alphabet, as for japanese, im good with writing and pronouncing 2 of their 3 writing systems, which are hiragana and katakana, the 3rd is kanji, and i have no knowledge about it so far. I have not yet started studying sentence structure and learning some vocabulary. so based on these, i can say that Asian languages are sooo diff from each other. altho some have influences from other languages, there's not many overlaps and some of the words, in terms of pronunciation and writing are a bit different from the original. im filipino btw, and very fluent in english lol.

From Thailand; About Asians languages; I think the Korean, Japanese & Chinese alphabets are similar but they pronounce it differently, it's probably base on Chinese. But for Thai, our language is completely different from the other both alphabets and speech the closest language to ours is Lao, our neighbor, l can understand them but not every words.

Asian languages might sounds similar but they are WAAAYY different from each other. And what's making it more difficult is that you have to study the characters too cause they're not alphabet 😢

16:12 I am from the Philippines and currently level 1 at korean and based on what i learned when you make a sentence you should follow S.O.V (Subject Object Verb) like for example: 나는 불고기를 먹다 시버요(naneun bulgogirul mokta shipoyo) in english I want to eat beef but the literally translation is I beef to eat want. I memorized their alphabets and i knew how to make a sentence.

I’m just watching this now but OMG Rosé’s voice remind me of Avril Lavigne’s too. The tone is quite similar but Rosé can hit higher notes and uses vibrato more often, you are the first person I heard noticing this and I was so excited someone shared my thoughts tho 😂

Korean language is different but Japanese and Chinese have may similar characteristics, so it’s easier if you are Chinese learning Japanese. Thai languages is more complicate as so many n more characters. Lisa must be someone who got talented about languages for she has been living in Korea for so long that makes her speak Korean fluently. Jisoo even tease Lisa one time that Lisa’s Thai speaking is better than before.

Asian languages are super different even from the same country other provinces may have an entirely different dialect which cant be understood by other provinces so yeah, LISA is an actual language genius even if you say some languages she knows are basic but most of them are on a conversational level. its really amazing
