As much as i want a fast comeback from BP , I'd rather wait an entire year for BLACKPINK's comeback if it means quality, and the fact that they have been consistent with their quality contents for years. I can't really say they have a bad song at all, some are just more amazing than others. If you guys haven't notice their MVs quality are at the top of the industry and i doubt its something they can just pull out every few months without losing on quality. And the fact that they are at the top right now means whatever Blackpink is doing they should just keep doing it.

When you said "that's mean" at 11:06 I honestly felt the same way when I first read the ex-YG CEO's quote in an article many years ago. There is something I would like to say which I hope doesn't sound as if I'm defending what he said. As one of the Big 3 K-Pop agencies (YG, JYP, and SM), YG has always prized talents over visuals it seems. Looking back on the groups he put together and the artists he helped create, I can see that he valued skills the most. 2NE1 were absolutely beautiful but unfortunately, they did not fit standards of beauty in Korea. I think the ex-YG CEO was trying to say that he wanted a group that did appeal to beauty standards but the way he stated it was definitely mean and probably shouldn't have been said at all. And I know some may take the whole copy + paste thing even further and say that Blackpink were only chosen for their looks but they made it through their 5-6 years of training for a reason. They are hard-working humans who put in time and effort to develop their skills and their talent. They're not "manufactured" as some might say. I love how to this day they still remain so humble and kind to others and forged their own name in the industry. On the bright side, YG now has a new CEO who's a woman named "Hwang Bo-Kyung." She took over after the old YG CEO had some scandals and I like that things moved along even with the ex-CEO's scandals and the pandemic issues. But I am dying for their comeback because now it feels like things are still at the moment.

Everyone misinterprets that quote from YG... He wasn't calling 2ne1 Ugly by saying that, he was saying that the group 2ne1 they didn't focus on building things around their looks, they focused on the styling, the music, that sort of thing. With BlackPink I'd say that their appearances and image are actually the main focus even more so than their music. Which is a big reason we've gone over a year multiple times without new music. They market the group for advertisements and promotions, and fans just eat it up and go buy those products or share the promotions on social media helping spread the word and basically boosting their advertisement for the product... Then fans all whine about not getting new music (and rightfully so) but yet don't realize by supporting the non-music related things they're supporting the reason we don't get new music often. So yeah, BP may be similar to 2ne1, but in that sense they're very different.

She even told the crowd at the end of a concert that she would love to sing more songs "if I had any", an obvious dig at YG s refusal to release more of their music. Rosé has also often talked about how they're always recording and working on songs, and noted during one of her solo interviews that she was ready to release her solo songs the second they were recorded - (yet we got it 2 years later) - to kind of let fans know Blackpink isn't withholding anything on purpose or lazy, it's 100% the company's choice not to release their music.

For example, Jennie admitted that she wrote Stay in one of the behind the scene video. It is clip of one of the BLACKPINK reality show on KZfaq. In that clip, Jennie reveal the reason why she felt very emotional whenever they performed Stay live is that she is the songwriter. Jennie literally cried when performing Stay live. I also found out that after they release As If Your Last, they have an interview. During that interview, Lisa admitted that she wrote the rap verse for As If It Is Your Last. She even said that it is longer than she thought it is. This interview was all over the news in South Korea. During an interview, Tushar Apte one of the producer who work on the BLACKPINK's song, Love To Hate Me, reveal that Danny Chung and Lisa write the rap verse for Love To Hate Me together. 😃 This is what Tushar Apte said during his interview, Question: Was the first draft you submitted instantly approved or did the members share their feedback with you to rework on? Tushar Apte's answer: We pretty much got it right the first time on this! Which isn’t common at all, but of course Lisa and Danny Chung had to go and write the amazing rap verse that really takes the record to a whole different level! However, if you look at their credits for their songs such as Love To Hate Me, you won't find their name on the credit list for some songs. In fact, they’re with their famous Teddy producer are very careful and picky when releasing any song as they want it to be perfect! I don’t see anything wrong with that. Also, considering their busy schedule as ambassadors of multiple brands and Jisoo filming a TV series with 16 episodes as the main actress is too much to handle. I mean if we really love them we should give them enough time to rest and do it on their own schedule.

The 4 of them were chosen not because they were from the different countries but because of their chemistry when they're together. Even their producer Teddy saw it and YG himself. I have a love hate feeling with this docu. It gives very good source of information but I don't like how it imply that BP success seems MANUFACTURED since day 1 which is BS for me. YG was even surprised about BP success they don't know how to handle it... And for the information of young stans... YG have always been notorious in long hiatus for their artist...
