Hannah Well I think you should try Gravesend, Sheepshead Bay, Coney island ( near Maimonides Park) and Bensonhurst. Since I live in Sheepshead Bay the Neighborhood is safe Unfortunately Sheepshead Bay lost a Bait and Tackle store that was there for about 80 years and soon to to lose a Hardware store that stayed for about 90+ years. Sheepshead Bay and southern Brooklyn residents fear that condos will be going up on those places.

Sorry to hear your neighborhood is changing in ways you don’t like! How sad for such old businesses to close. :(

Wow, those high price apts. aren't any better than the mid range. And the only one with a decent view was the first one. I was really disappointed. You have a way better view than those high dollar ones. Thanks Hannah for doing the ritzy, so called, ones.

Right! That’s how I felt about them too. Nice, but not worth the prices at all.

Hi Hannah ! 👋 How are you feeling? Back up to full strength after recovery time ! ? 🍒. I think these videos are extremely valuable for anyone moving here and not familiar with rents, difference in older vs newer buildings, neighborhoods , etc. As you well point out, some of the apartments can be deceiving . A person needs to check everything out so that they don't get stuck in a tiny hell hole ! 🥀 The high end rents are insane...lots of amenities but a person generally won't swim after a few times and the fascination wears off. But as you state, rents are expensive and a person needs to plan out their budget, life style and comfort level 🤗🌸

Thanks, DN! I’m feeling pretty much back to normal now. Still not completely healed, but not in pain. 😊

Hi Hannah ! I feel the prices of apartments in NYC have dropped. I check the prices on StreetEasy every day.

Hi Hannah. I've developed a StreetEasy habit, which is absolutely ridiculous considering I live in Northern Ireland, haven't got the money (once I win the lottery, I'll buy an apartment 😉) and I don't have any intention of permanently moving to NYC. 😂

Unbelievable that they charge that much for an apartment. I want to know what they do for a living to afford $15,000 a month.

I kinda laugh when you say certain buildings are far from the Subway because I live in a part of Brooklyn where the closest Subway to me (the N on Ft Hamilton Pkwy and the R on 77th St) are around a 10 to 15 minute walk from ne and the D (on 71st St) is around a 15 to 20 minute walk from me. Funny enough, there are many neighborhoods in Brooklyn (Mill Basin, Marine Park, Bergen Beach) that don't have a single Subway Line.

I hear you! “Far” from the subway is definitely subjective.

@@therealhannahlee Yep. Also, I find it kinda interesting seeing how many people are willing to pay ridiculously high prices just to live in NYC. I've lived in Brooklyn my whole life in a house that my parents bought before my second oldest brother was born. My Mother also grew up in Brooklyn and lived in Red Hook and Carroll Gardens with a short stint in Cypress Hills before she met my Dad (an immigrant from Bangladesh) and they lived in Jackson Heights Queens for a short amount of time before moving to an apartment not far from where they moved shortly after in Dyker Heights, which is my current house. I've got quite a history here.
