The author was so lost in his own plot, he had no message.

But in a world where trying is futile, the message falls flat. Eren achieved omniscience, the ability to manipulate all Eldians across time and space, and not even with the power of God could he break the cycle. We can absolutely try and succeed, but can the Eldians? No, the game is rigged.

Bruh that’s not even logistically possible or accurate, did you even watch it. He only made 1 stand alone Eminence video and that was uploaded weeks after the first season finished airing, he even used footage from throughout the whole season and even had a spoiler for episode 5’s Atomic scene. Unless you mean his seasonal videos where he goes through the upcoming anime airing, this comment doesn’t make sense.

No, ss1 aired in fall 2022 and winter 2023. It wasn't on his list last year because he wasn't confident enough to admit that such an edgy show like Eminence is actually among the greatest isekai. But ss2 somehow convinced him due to its finale.

100 Girlfriends being the number one for them seems a bit too much imo as well. This is coming from an avid fan of the series who's up to date with its manga. But what I can agree is 100GF winning the best comedy of the year. During its airing time, the MC and the girlfriends dominated the weekly popularity lists. The same MC was even in second place in the 2023 best male character list only behind a character from Heavenly Delusion iirc.

As an avid fan of the series, I would rather put 100GF into the number one comedy (a bit better comedy than Tomo-chan) and maybe even number one romance. Season 2 is gonna be even better if no mistakes are made. Regardless, it's the best harem series among the new gen. The premise is ridiculous and it's self aware, that's why it's surprisingly good.

Bro same. Everyone hyped it up like it was the best thing on earth. but I just found it very slow and boring. I didn't feel anything for any of the characters either. Even north-2. I gave it a shot till episode 4 but then I dropped it. Then again I've never finished Monster either. But I really liked that. I got to episode 50, I just got busy and then never finished it. But I'll finish it one day lol

@@theoacean I hate how they never showed the fights lmao that was wild to me. Robots would just hop into a tornado and drop dead a little bit later. Some people say "it's not about the fights" well yeah I know but if you're going to do a fight then... Show it? I'm not asking for anything crazy just animate the fight scene lmao. I also hated how it was suppose to be a mystery but instead of letting me figure it out slowly and do things to make me believe it's this way or another they will just do a bunch of information dump and explain every single thing to me right then and there. Now I'm not invested into the mystery bc you just told me. You didn't even give me a chance to come up with what the mystery is in my mind. And I ended up basically kinda understanding what's going on and who's attacking because they pretty much told me so I just didn't really care about the "mystery" portion of it.

​@@philo2189 yeah I agree about the mystery thing. There was too much exposition dumping. I always prefer when mysteries have a show and don't tell approach. Let the audience slowly figure it out instead of straight up spoon feeding us the answer. That's why I liked Heavenly Delusion so much.

Wow. We have really different opinions. I listen to his podcast and his writing seems very in tune with how he is as a person to me. I think he is a genuine person. And he uses the dub because he's got voice actor friends in the dub industry so he likes to showoff their work

He does watch dubs though. He said he watches both depending on what he feels like or what he's doing.

Fair opinion. Obviously we also have similar tastes to him but some of the things he says is questionable haha. And yeah the English dubs throw us off 😂

He uses dub sometimes because most of his friends are english VAs

one of the reason he uses dubs is to avoid copyright, and his audience is massive general audience which there's lots of normies too
