Jimin is the Fred Astaire of K-pop. He is the lightest on his feet. Instead of water, I think of Jimin as air or wind. It's like he floats in the air.

I'm always so mesmerized by Jimin's dancing. Sometimes I forget where I am for a moment when he moves across a stage. If you have a chance, he did some shorts called "This is Jimin" that are between 30secs to 1min 30secs with him dancing as a fun little thing for us. Ther are only a few of them so you can put them together. He also did a lot of dance challenges with others too that you can maybe add in if you wanted to make it one reaction. He gets so shy around others at times even though he's so confident a lot of the time too. It's endearingly sweet.

Ohh I'm telling you lory..you just won't survive the legendary fancams vid.. specially when it starts with his "all black jimin with his iconic orange hair 'perfect man' cover fancam!!!!!" First 3 secs in the vid and you will absolutely loose it! (Coming from personal experience 😭) If you ever feel like torturing yourself.. please feel free to check out that vid..no need to react to it if you don't feel like..just sometime check it out!

I knew Jimin was an incredible dancer before, but when I saw him live here in Brazil, during Serendipity, I was in absolute shock. It feels like he is actually floating... like he is not dancing in the ground... it was a surreal moment for sure.

Jimin is so smooth it's like he is ice skating - insanely good :) That first clip is just insane - it isn't just that he is blindfolded - it's his innate awareness of his body and the stage - look at the spin in the air @ 1:18 - he lands smack facing the front - insane :)

I'm so sorry you've had/are having such a hard time. I'm glad you've found the guys and that they are helping. It's one of the beautiful things about them. They seem to get it on a totally different level and aren't afraid to say that. Whether it's on camera or off camera, I think the This is Jimin series of short pieces of choreo and behind video will make you smile. If you think he's good here, imagine what he's like when he's had rest. Not that he wasn't fantastic before, but the difference is staggering to me. The control and body awareness it takes to be able to do the blindfold piece with spins and jumps is bonkers. Even if the blindfold is slightly see through (I don't know either way, so this isn't a dig), it throws everything off - your balance, your center of gravity, your ability to find your center. Everything. He makes it look so easy - he executes it and executes it really well. As for when Jimin and Taemin do challenges together, they seem to bring out something a little extra in each other's dancing. Taemin knows Jimin can keep up with him and doesn't hold back. And Jimin's style just fits Taemin's choreo perfectly. Plus, you can tell they just absolutely love dancing together. I'm so glad you've enjoyed Jimin week and that he's touched you. He's a special one, that's for sure.

Please watch his tiny “thisisjimin” dance series. He danced to different genres in preparation for ‘closer than this’ which was the simplest out of all of ‘em. I am quite sure you will enjoy it!

Lol, I had a ballet teacher tell me one time that dancers are actually the clumsiest people on earth that they just fall down gracefully. Jimin is proof of falling down the graceful part. I have never seen him be clumsy, though.

I’ve so enjoyed watching your journey these past weeks. Mine started in September of 2020 at age 72, when I accidentally saw their live performance of “Black Swan” on the Jimmy Fallon show and went “Who the H are these people? This can’t be pop music, this is performance art, contemporary dance.” (Having been raised in a jazz and classical music family, I had never paid attention to any form of pop/rock/rap music.) I knew from just that one performance that Jimin was a contemporary dancer. I’ve been devoted to modern/contemporary dance for decades and have seen many of the major US dance troupes multiple times. I saw Baryshnikov at Wolf Trap outside Washington DC in 1975. One of Jimin’s former dance teachers said in an interview that Jimin’s decision to go the idol route was a great loss to the dance world. I bet if he had been born in a nation in Eastern Europe or Russia, recruited as a child, and trained in ballet, he could have become this century’s Nureyev or Baryshnikov; he is that gifted, ethereal, magnetic, and sensual on stage.

Wow you have grown up so fast.. you are right, you cannot watch their videos just a couple of times. First you watch for the song / lyrics, then you re-watch for the dance and then you analyze elements yes nothing is accidental, all details in the video are all thought of. After which you just enjoy the whole presentation. They missed the fan dance, the Taemin and Jimin showdown. Also his dancing to Stuck with you, Face Off and Closer than This Of course you can all enjoy these offline :-)

My journey is right along side yours.! And my tears fall along with yours. I have been Army for 3 years now and I still have emotional breaks quite often. BTS has been my rock through these last 3 years and I can not imagine my life without them. As I watch your vlogs, I find myself very thankful for you and your raw emotion when it comes to the guys. I thought I was the only one that would break down on virtually every song they sing! Everyone of their songs have meaning. Not only the true meaning of the song itself, but what it means to me. How their music helped me and still to this day brings me comfort and emotional stability so I can face all my challenges this world has thrown at me. As long as I have their music, can listen to them even if I cant speak their language, I can still, through the love that I have for them, understand them. And I do so love each and every one of them. Jimin, Jk are my favorites but they all have a place in my heart. I am still going through very difficult times and at the age of 64, (yes, 64) not feeling that age or looking that age, and get questioned quite often as to if I am fibbing about it, lol, I need BTS in my life or I feel I surely will be consumed and fade away with all the pain that I face every day. So yes Lory, I love your vlogs, your reactions, your shear honesty and emotion. It helps, believe me. Your awesome. !!

Thanks. Park jimin legendary fancam is v good too tho need updating. Japanese ballerino said re mma 2019 Jimin live (he was the only one who danced live since he wanted live audience participation) performance that its very difficult to dance with floaty fabric so in ballet they use only stiff object. Pls watch his Serendipity live performance. Its a masterpiece

Hi. Tienes razón la canción se llama Pin-Up Girl pero si no encuentras la canción quizás sea porque el compositor/productor comercialmente se llama Nadan Music. La canción se encuentra en el Vol. 3 de la serie de álbumes titulados "Modern Dance Music". Espero te ayude a encontrarla. Saludos.

I absolutely love your reactions! I'm going to try not to sound like a perv but, Jimin might not be really tall but his physique is perfection. He can wear a pair of jeans/leather pants like no one else...Good Lord! And Jimin was almost kickt out, because his dancestyle doesn't fit a hiphop group and was too soft for this group. Iam so glad, that there were people who stand with him and see, that he belong to the group. Because he makes the dancestyle from bts so more unique with his dance.

@@lorydannagr Yeah, before they debut, several people of the agency thought that Jimin wouldn't do well in bts. He has an very short trainee time but he would almost kicked out around 8 times he said. Maybe you remember in Suchwita Jimin told there was a situation in they trainee times when it was already dark and they laid all in their beds and suddenly Suga lay his head over his bed and says that Jimin belong to this group. That's a reason why this sentence has such a impact on Jimin and gave him so much motivation to work that he can debut with bts. Suga really believed in Jimin

Es increíble pensar que Jimin está en BTS gracias a la intervención de Suga al hablar con él pero también por hablar con los responsables de Big Hit y es increíble pensar en que Jimin canta, de nuevo gracias a la insistencia de Suga con los responsables que lo tenían aprendiendo rap y su ánimo constante al propio Jimin respeto a su voz, pero definitivamente lo más gracioso e increíble es que Suga quería evitar bailar como si de la peste se tratase y acabó disfrutándolo junto a Jimin. Con respecto a la flexibilidad de Jimin, está muy relacionada con su entrenamiento como bailarín de danza (aunque no todos los bailarines masculinos pueden hacerlo) pero lo que me asombra más, es su equilibrio y fluidez en las transiciones. Vuelve a mirar la parte en que aparece Jimin en la presentación en su escuela de baile junto a un compañero. Puedes observar la diferencia entre los dos. Jimin cuando gira su cuerpo en el suelo sobre su cuello mantiene las piernas abiertas y su compañero no, lo que le facilita la transición al siguiente movimiento, y en otro momento que gira hacia atrás para inmediatamente levantarse y salir corriendo hacia la izquierda del escenario detrás de las bailarinas, Jimin se levanta con fluidez, elegancia y rapidez mientras que su compañero va unos segundos tarde incluso diría un poco torpe en su forma de levantarse. Realmente un bailarín impresionante. La revedere Lory!
