Here's info, I'm reposting, that some still aren't aware of: ❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!! JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals. JIMIN has won the prestigious titles for 2 yrs in a row for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, now 3 yrs in a row, as well!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! All I can say is that Jimin is the best dancer/performer I have ever seen in my life.. And I don't care if people here would never agree or attack me if i say that he's even better performer than Michael Jackson.. Yes Michael Jackson is Michael Jackson, people would say no one can compare to him coz simply he is Michael Jackson.. But I said what I said, it's just how I see it and no one can change my mind.. I love Hobi and his dancing is top tier but Jimin's athletism and contemporary background always gives him an edge in the whole Kpop industry and that's why he earns the title of best Kpop dancer 3 years in a row and it's a fact that Jimin, Taemin, and Kai are considered the Top 3 dancers in the industry. Hobi is definitely In the top 10 in my opinion but Jimin definitely has an edge with his contemporary, martial arts, and athletism. Just my opinion but it depends on taste sometimes 💜

♦️As a dancer Jimin works out all the time so all his flexibility as well as muscle tone is still there. Further more he's mentioned that he's decided to develop more muscles again as well for better stamina and endurance, but even when with clothing he seems lean, even at his thinnest, his muscles are still there, especially his inner core muscles. The reason Jimin is so versatile dancer is because he, unlike most dancers, is such a rarity, in that he's able to incorporate all those yrs first since age 11 studying, performing, & competing in hip hop (winning every competition), with his contemporary dance which he studied, & performed a bit later on as well as ballet, and also using the tradition Korean dance as well which he also studied, in his dance moves. This all puts Jimin on another level then most dancer not just in Kpop, but internationally. Aside from the fact that Jimjn also puts so much emotion & feeling in his dance moves which always seem to make one feel what the music is trying to convey through his dance. There's a reason why Jimin has been awarded the prestigious honor of Best Dancer in Kpop 3 yrs in a row both from Dabeme & Kings Choice. Jimin is also the dancer that all rookies look up to and idolize. There's a reason why he's called the 'Rookies Bibel'. His moves are always watched, and rookies try to learn & emulate them as best they can, always using his perfromances and dance moves to study & learn from!!

How lucky Bang PD and BTS to have JM, a real gem, with his amazing skillsets. He raised BTS standard so high. Tho everyone in BTS is special, I think JM has that something, maybe a great effect as a performer on stage. He has that in his body and does not need lots of effort to show it, it just shows whenever he moves.

BigHit tend to push Hobi as the best dancer in BTS and Jungkook as the member who is good at everything. But for me, the best dancer is Jimin and the most versatile member also is Jimin. I'm really sick and tired of member's image making and forcing by the office.

Jimin is art itself. In my humble opinion nobody can compare to him. I believe his discipline, his passion for dancing, and even being a black belt in taekwondo, helped him to develop as the best K-Pop artist in the world.

I would have never thought it possible to love someone I will never meet and doesn't know that I even exist, but here I am. That young man is beyond special. That's why he's my ultimate bias. I dearly love all the boys, but Jimin is just.......magical!

Some of Jimin's freestyles on stage really surprise me, he seems to have held on to so much of the popping influence from his younger teen years its awesome. There's some cool compilations on Park Drea 86's channel that have fancams of some of those impromptu moments (its a 14 part series but I think it was 1-4 that were my favourite but I'll have to rewatch them and figure out which one to suggest this time as you really had fun with some of of fancam freestyle clips in another video you did recently) and it's so cool to see that influence when he finds a particular part of the beat he attaches to it like a laser, it always makes me rewind like 5 times to make sure I catch all the individual movements haha.

Jimin can still do splits. Olympics two time and reigning Gold Medal figure skating champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan does them for training so I think Jimin works out and practices every day and keeps up. He is a trained dancer.

I am sure Jimin maintains his flexibility, probably adding the stretching to the routine of his regular workouts. You can see how effortless are his deep squats (looks like the squatting is his favoured resting position:-) and sitting on the floor with the legs fully stretched and the straight back. The bending forward he was showing in the video should be done by the beginner with the knees bent to help hinging the body at the hip joints and at the same time to protect the hamstrings from injury.

I disagree DT on who has more moves. Jimin is the best, that is the reason he has been voted the number one k-pop dancer for the last couple of years. It’s the reason dance professionals including instructors are impressed when they watch him. Hobi’s dancing is amazing. He is the epitome of the boogaloo, B-boy dancers from the 80’s. Think Electric Boogaloo. He is a master. The biggest differences is Jimin has more versatility. He pop locs made a rep for himself and won some contests in middle school, ballet, contemporary dance, hip hop, Korean fan dancing. The Asian silk dancing from 2020 MMA. He does it all and that is what makes him great. He choreographs too. He was voted best male dancer in 2019 and 2020. The only other K-pop male artist I am aware of who has classically trained is Kai from EXO who studied ballet. I don’t see other groups who utilize dance the was BTS does which is the reason the group is considered number one in dance.

Jimin and hobi just have skills in different areas they are exceptional at. That's why it's so amazing to have them in the same group. It's just personal opinion (especially if you're not a professional dancer) as to what you like better. And personally I would say I'm more captivated by jimins dancing, but if someone said they thought hobi was the best dancer I would not disagree.

I mean, with his versatility I would think he has the most tricks in the bag cuz he knows more than one genre of dance & we haven't seen Jimin freestyle that much unlike Jhope & his hope on the street vids, so who is to say that he doesnt have a lot of tools in his bag either?

Jimin is the reason I started following BTS. In my opinion, he’s the best dancer and singer but the rest of the group are also talented. He’s the best dancer I have seen and his voice is just one of a kind. Thanks to my daughter following BTS, I would’ve miss out on knowing a charming and very talented young man. I think many including myself think that in order to be considered the best dance the qualification should be that the dancer is proficient and excel in many forms of dance and Jimin fits that description to a tee! Jimin's freestyle is just as creative if not more than Hobie's, because Jimin gives you something you haven't seen thousands of freestyle dancers do; he's very unique. I think when you put everything together Jimin is that the best all around dancer!
