I remember watching this Laguna beach season 1 episode back in 2004 and thinking omg Steven is such a good friend surprising Lauren and now watching it as an adult realizing Steven is trash like no tomorrow and both Lauren and Kristen could do better at the time . Growth

Season 2 was a complete STEP UP. Way better characters IMO. I thought Morgan and Christina were sorta weak and boring in season one. I preferred Taylor and Alex M. Kristin was also a stronger narrator than Lauren.

I was so obsessed with this season when it aired, it’s wierd realising the entire season was literally about nothing haha and having the same conversations 5 times. I guess the producers/editors did a good job.

I loved laguna beach but I think that’s the point of this series .. as teens this stuff seemed like a big deal to me too but watching now you realize how silly some stuff was or how producers were getting them to talk and do things. Idk, just saying.

I will always love Laguna Beach because it's the show that started it all. Without Laguna Beach, we wouldn't have The Hills, and without The Hills, we wouldn't have The City.

FACTS! 1- Yes, it is the real music! They didn’t use a ton of super well known music. I think they were going for the OC vibe of using lesser known artists. 2- The earrings are green! They were a birthday gift from Gary with a matching green top (“of course a matching green top” - Lo) 3- These are amazing! Can’t wait for season 2. Thanks Whit, Timmy and Annie!

I always thought it was interesting how Kristin predicted correctly that LC wouldn’t last in San Fran. I agree with Timmy that Stephen wasn’t ready to break up, but she sure was!

Like she knows that high school relationships statistically don't work out and she is also going to college next year and would like to be free to spread her wings as well. Also Kristin has always been so straight up. She's just like let's call it. Why have all the unnecessary drama of a long distance relationship.

If he and Kristin were his only love "relationship", then what were the others (including LC)? Being one of the freshman was going to be a let down at least. I don't think he invested himself in relationships in Laguna.

agreed, even as I get older, something about the camera work, editing, music and innocence of Laguna compared to the Hills. The first Season or so was good of the Hills, but the more they got into it, the worse it got. And the camera work, lighting etc on Hills New Beginning is Terrible. Can't even compare

They're so reflective on what happened that I wonder if the discussions were production directed. Surely no one has this many discussions about senior year and leaving when there's other stuff going on. I remember being a senior and thinking like Lo last episode, I was so ready to be done. You'll stay in contact with those you want to and everyone else ceases to matter once you're gone, you're not pushed to interact with people every day anymore so if you have nothing in common with your class then it doesn't matter

Not sure they've learned anything because episode 201 reaction video was from the same let's-rush-through filming session as the last few episodes, so same mean girls vibe. it always bugged me so much being from the bay area that LC clearly lands at Oakland airport not SFO and when they are talking in the car you can tell they are on the bay bridge, but then the exterior shot is the truck driving on the GG bridge towards SF. Which is also funny because you don't have to drive over the GG bridge to get to SF from either airport .. they were just all over the place really

I think Timmy is right that Kristin was far more ready to make a break from Stephen for a while than Stephen was.

I think Kristen would even say, that she probably would have waited for him, but even at such a young age she never wanted to seem vulnerable or needy, so she used alot of strategies to seem cool, unbothered, etc by dating others or acting like she doesn't care. Also her probably knowing in the back of her mind that he WILL go to Lauren especially because the situation he is in, in San Fran. She knows him too well. I also think she probably liked the idea of them staying together but she enjoys the attentiion too much of other guys, so him being away magnified the need for that

The prolonged goodbye.....very familiar. In our family from the word...."alright ya'll, we're gonna get going, good to see ya, love ya'll" ..... That begins the 1 to 2 hour timer of when you actually step out the damn door. We are the worst. Hah. I'm equally as annoyed by it as I am accustomed and a part of it. Balance, you know....lol.

Hey guys, could you please consider uploading more episodes weekly? I SO LOOK FORWARD TO THESE, you dont even know! I wait everyday for new episodes. I know it sounds like Im exagerating but Im not you guys, Im a working mom and sometimes I feel like I never have a moment to myself sooo when a new episode is up I'll prepare for the perfect moment to watch it and it makes my entire day.
