When I was younger, it definitely didn’t register that people were drunk on camera. As I’ve rewatched as an adult, I’m like, “oh, of course.” 😂 I think Lauren and Stephen definitely hooked up. She obviously had unrequited feelings for him, and Stephen totally took advantage of the situation. I think that’s what lends to the sometimes awkward nature of their friendship. I didn’t think anything could beat the Kelly impression, but this Talan impression is everything!!!!

It wasn't so many girls though. It was literally Lauren who seemed to obsess over him. Kristen got over him real quick lol. and she wasn't even that into him when they were together. As pretty as Lauren is, she was actually quite bad/awkward around guys! We saw that with Jason and with Brody on The Hills...she didn't have the confidence.

watching this as an adult I realize Kristen considered herself the queen bee of the show so when it looked like Taylor may take the spotlight for a time, she turned Talons attention to her instead. Here’s the proof: in a few episodes when She can’t get away from Talon fast enough, it proves that she didn’t really even like him. He was just a conquest for her or something. She needed to get him to prove to herself and everyone watching that she could even get a guy who was supposedly nuts about another girl…

I think Steven annoyingly pets Lauren and wouldn’t just kiss her on the lips because he was avoiding any form of intimacy with her. He would have sex with her, but it’s not something he viewed as an intimate thing. He just used her to get off. Lauren had legit feelings for him and seemed to always want to take things to an exclusive level. She settled for what he gave her and never should have. I’m glad she moved on and found real love and commitment.

Nice catch. I hated how desperate she was for Stephen though. When I was younger I totally rooted for Lauren. Now, I see that Lauren actually wronged Kristen with Stephen and that's why Kristen was so bothered by Lauren. Second time around I saw things through Kristen's eyes. I saw Lauren as waiting to pounce, always around watching and I wouldn't like that either. The last few episodes I'm finding Kristen pretty hard to tolerate. Her ego is out of this world and she's really quite rude. So, I always find my way back to liking Lauren. She's different than all the other girls on the show and has a nuance of class except where Stephen is concerned. They made the right choice picking her to follow for The Hills.

They were all awful to eachother. Stephen played a pivotal role in all of it. Lauren wanted stephen, yes, Kristin wanted everyone. Stephen flirted with and strung lauren along...who knows what was said behind closed doors...i would bet that behind closed doors stephen had awful things to say to kristin that would get laurens hopes up...and put her in a head space where she felt she needed to pounce..as another commenter said. Kristin wanted her cake and to eat it too...stephen was a cocky jerk who knew what power he held over both these girls...they were all wrong...They were also all kids...and dumb...lauren was desperate, kristin was toxic and stephen was a full jerk. watching them with parental eyes....ALL these kids were...awful lol...and i dont get why anyone liked talan...sorry not sorry...

The funny thing is, is that Lauren and Kristin's birthdays are a month apart! I remember I thought it was so crazy their birthdays were basically on the same day because of how editing made it seem. But no, they are a whole month apart lol!

Sooo wondering how Kristin met Brody…didn’t they date just after or the end of Laguna Season 2? Somewhere I read it was Talan who introduced them. How did that happen? If true. How does Talan know Brody? Also, Heidi met Lauren at SanFran…right? Did Heidi use Lauren to get on the show? This stuff is so utterly pointless lol but I love it!!! Haha.

Taylor’s and Talan’s date was so cute. I do think Talan genuinely liked Taylor, but Kristin was definitely the “cooler” girl to hang out with. The iconic Lauren and Stephen “nose kiss”, or whatever that was, was funny. I really like Lauren but it’s a bit cringy watching her simp / crush on Stephen so hard, but then again, they were so young so that’s understandable. And I agree with Timmy and Whit, I don’t think they actually hooked up, at least not in this Mexico birthday getaway.

I totally agree! It's like I get second hand embarrassment, like Lauren stop being such a "pick me" girl. She doesn't even care if she's second place taking sloppy seconds.😂 She is to Stephen as Stephen is to Kristen in a lot of ways. It's so painfully obvious that Stephen isn't into her. Then the episode where he comes from school to see Kristen and gets blown off so he gives Lauren a visit & she thinks he came down to see her. I think they definitely hooked up in San Francisco.

Genius but Evil producers make good TV. This kind of entertainment is So juicy. I am not built like that. Lauren probably hates reliving this. Imagine cameras following you around at this time of your life. Surprised she lasted as long as she did. Good for her for getting the bag and Done 👍

I think Steven does the awkward flirting w/LC when he can tell she wants some sort of PDA from him, but in his head this alarm goes off like "Omg, we are *filming* , must not let anyone think I'm her BF".., so he does the weird petting, headbutts & forehead kisses to avoid having to *actually* kiss her. Plus I think he was still keeping Kristin on the back burner, mainly bc she dumped him. Had LC gotten smart & started treating him like dirt, he'd have been eating out of the palm of her hand.. It also seems like younger guys have this mentality, they want to seem cool to their bros & break hearts & play the field... who really knows tho, for all we know they could've just had really awkward sex, and from then on he acted like this w her, and then she was in love w him.

I think he was genuinely confused and didn’t really know what he wanted. He was saying, in season 1 I think, that Lauren was the good girl and gf material. It seems like she’s his type on paper, but his feelings are with Kristin. I for sure think Stephen, and even Talan, mainly liked Kristin because she was never fully available for them.

I love how she seems unbothered when guys try to "play" her tho (even if she comes off as overconfident/bitchy @ times). We are just so used to seeing the opposite portrayed, in general 😁
