Jason is awful and also manages to bring out the worst in Jessica. It’s also obvious her friends are so over her boyfriend drama. Dieter and his brows would never stir up a psychodrama like this.

Definitely and it’s so messed up that she also was so fully aware Jessica and Jason were together - she’d constantly ask about her when she was with him - and she and Jason continued to flirt and go to dinner and PROM anyway

Small thing I’ve noticed about Jessica, when she’s feeling stressed she pulls back her hair. It’s the kind of little subtle sign I would put into a character in a movie or book. Every time she pulls it back my heart clenches for her!

i always thought it was because her chest was bigger than the rest of her friends and she felt insecure to stand up straight, afraid of them like, being big. because guys and girls would talk about girls having "big titties* and it's just uncomfortable to hear others talking about your body; the guys would make suggestive comments, and the girls would be jealous and call a girl a slut. _it was a different time_

@@vp662 Agreed, Kristin definitely has insecurities which could stem from her parent's divorce, etc as when I was at school those type of slack, boy-mad gals always had family issues. Kristin also admitted in an episode of Very Cavallari that she was doing drugs and having sex whilst she was living with her mum in Chicago, so she went off the rails at a very young age. Funny how that catches up with people because now most of her LB nemesis, including Lauren, Jessica, Taylor, Casey etc, are all in happy marriages, etc and she is alone...

When Jessica needed an ally- Kristin was m.i.a. and everyone acted like Jessica was in the wrong and deserved "the wrath of Alex" (ooh Alex- so tough for scaring a girl that doesn't want to get into a fistfight on the street 🙄)- for letting Jason back in. Jessica wasn't smart and made horrible choices- but everyone acts like Alex didn't pursue Jason hard-core when he was in a relationship WITH Jessica. Oh god. I know too much about this show 🥴

It''s funny to watch these now because Cami and Kendra (who are in season 3) are mentioned as part of Jason's friend group but aren't shown much. They were both at Jason's birthday dinner in LA on The Hills!! And then they star in season 3 but are never featured before then.

For the Taylor and Talan situation -- I always thought that Talan did kind of like her and Taylor was definitely intrigued by him, but she seemed like a commitment "go steady" (lol) type of person and saw that he was quite wishy-washy and liked different girls every other week (including Kristin), so she continually turned down his advances. Plus, I also got the feeling that Talan would turn his head every time he and Taylor would get close and then she wouldn't sleep with him -- his thing about wanting "an intimate relationship." Which, ew. She was like 17 or something, so relax, dude. If she actually meant that much to him, he would have been patient and taken things more at her pace. Like you guys said, he was trying to fulfil the f**kboy role this season and it just wasn't going to plan!

I think you’re right but I’ve also heard that Taylor actually had a bf this whole time who wasn’t on the show (maybe Tyler). It makes sense. I think Talan really did see her as marriage material and crushed on her for a while but couldn’t be with her.

Talan seems mad he didn’t get in Taylor’s pants with his “I compare everyone to you” line. He tells Kristen that Taylor is a tease, and tells Taylor “why bother with someone I can’t have an intimate relationship with”. That’s why she says he wants girls that are not like her. Pretty gnarly sitch if you ask me.

I think it's messed up how Taylor kept encouraged Alex to go out with Jason by telling her "he's definitely your type, a bad boy" but yet she kept giving Talan a hard time about him going out with Kristin and even calling her a "whore". And the dinner date between Alex and Jason was soooo cringy to me.

Timmy was on point in this ‘sode 😂 I always got the impression that Taylor was someone who was a little more conservative when it came to hooking up with guys (I believe the Tyler her mom referred to in an earlier episode was a former longtime boyfriend, so she maybe didn’t “date” a lot in high school). so I always thought it was a case where her and Talan liked each other, but she wasn’t just going to get physical with whoever…and he dated other girls (namely Kristin) who were less conservative in that aspect. So she compared herself to them and wondered how he could like them both. I say that because he says a girl he’s never going to have an “intimate relationship with” when talking about Taylor. Just my thoughts 🤷🏻♀️ also love drunk Taylor in that scene wearing mom shoes 😂

I've been binge watching The Hills reaction vids, because I didn't discover this channel until recently. I'm in the episodes of Timmy saying "people in the comments are saying xyz... but I'm not in the comments." And then "I'm back in the comments" 🤣🤣 Anyway I hope you're still in the comments! Whitney is a literal goddess & I'm obsessed. I had to look up Princes of Malibu after it was mentioned on here & I think you should react to at least one episode!

I honestly don’t think people are being haters. Most People come for the commentary. But, when your channel news interruptions are longer than the actual episode it becomes alot. However, the commentary is hilarious.

I think they edit the convo with Talan and Kristin when she is asking about Taylor at dinner. Now it makes sense to me why he calls Taylor a tease and says "I'm the nice guy who finishes last". Taylor said on Laguna Biotch she had a boyfriend named Tyler that whole time (during filming) but he didn't film. She and Talan just had an innocent flirtation but she was in a relationship with someone else. @Whitney and Timmy, Talan did actually like Taylor but he couldn't have her because she had a boyfriend. The producers wanted to make it look like he was an F boy (like Jason) and that there was some triangle for drama. Kristen was his second choice because Taylor had a bf Tyler. Kristen is usually not ppl's second choice which is probably why she didn't like Taylor. That's my take.

Taylor said in an interview that she was actually in a long term relationship with someone else during this and that she was playing up a flirtatious relationship with Talon during filming, (also that she was very obviously drunk during this scene lol.) But viewed from that lens this conversation is totally different. It just struck me on these re-watches how much Kristin was projecting onto other girls. Saying Taylor likes the attention, that she only hears Lauren talk when she’s flirting with guys. Things we all did at 17/18
