My favorite runs definitely are illumina's no f3 world record, Sizzler's fortress first world record and Dowsky's Stronghold first + monument 3rd place. Strats were all over the place, all different strats. It was an amazing time. Twag being the first one to do bastions i feel is the start of the real advancement in the community. He also did a Igloo strat run that was crazy.

I have heard about davie's run from couri on his stream multiple times , but finally got to watch it too . That was an amazing run . Thanks for making this video ❤❤❤

This video reminded me of how smart the Minecraft speedrunners playing 1.16.1 since when it was released. The bastion routes, piglin trades, explosives (to kill Ender dragon), and so many skills have been developed for the best possible time to end Minecraft.

when I saw the Dav1E skin, I knew it was the ironnpick less brijj run

Imagine being so far ahead on WR pace and you go for a 4 bed with so much confidence knowing if you fuck it up it might kinda cost you your run. that's always so insane to me how people risk like their 1 really good run in like 30 runs and hours of playing basically to just have the chance of being a little bit faster.

Me and Tjthings had a very similar run to Davies the other day lol. We decided to run duos and we got a fastion with no iron pick and tj fought blazes while I tried to get iron from the treasure bastion and I ended up trading like 3 gold blocks and got 43 string and 14 pearls and 14 obi from chests.. we sent it and got a 12k blind with a 15:xx time which is our duos pb. Those are the most fun runs lol :))

I look at this being like "he should've done XYZ rather than XYZ" knowing full well I have only managed to complete one speedrun and it was 46 mins

I watched dav1es run back then I remember now

The Dav1e run was hilarious. Like, how do you get good enough at one cycling to do that? I need to get better at everything. I’m gonna go on a tangent now and say you should try running my 14:39 PB world. It’s essentially an FSG seed, just without a looting sword and no ocean-exposed stronghold. Everything else is scarily like one. Ruined portal off spawn, bastion in pos/pos, and a great blind at 150,150, though I didn’t play for that. I only managed to get like a 3:45 enter and like a 5:00 bastion. The fortress was super fast and my triangulation was decent, so I ended up entering around 12:30. The dragon perched fast and my one cycle was garbage as usual, so I finished it with a sword. You could probably sub-10 fairly easily even without playing it like an FSG seed. If you see this and decide to run it, it’ll just go to show how much better an elite speedrunner is at the game than the average guy who barely has any time to play. I can’t remember what the seed is right now and I’ll be away from my computer for the next few days, but I’ll give it to you as soon as I can if you respond. Thank you for all you do for the community. Edit: That got off-topic very quickly. Sorry.

The only runs that come anywhere close to Dave's PB for me are Dowsky's Stronghold first 15:xx, and Illumina's back to back sub 13(?) PB's.
