Punjabi wedding music, it will rule the marriage halls across Punjab! Maghron La is a Punjabi phrase which means "got rid of it" but in a very crude and angry way. Like you would say this for a very annoying thing that was bothering you. "Maghron la ditta"

Great fun watching you guys listen to Coke Studio Pakistan. I have to agree that 2 AM is a masterpiece. This song is Punjabi and I am sure it will be used in weddings now. It is kind of a mix of traditional sounds with new sounds and the dance was choreographed by Nasir who is a founding member of dance group from Norway called Quick Style. He grew up in Norway but has Pakistani heritage. So the dance is not traditional but contemporary. A true fusion. Culture evolves.

It is more about the festivities as punjabies and not specifically a wedding. You see they are even celebrating a pregnant woman, something close to a baby shower. As punjabis we need a reason to just celebrate and that is what its depicting. Festive, colourful and loud. The music and the colours bringing the punjabi culture to life. Something to make you want to just dance and celebrate and not give a damn about the ones who talk negative about you no matter what.

The video is not just abt a wedding, but about Punjabi celebrations in general whether Eid, births, festivals and weddings. The video showed vignettes from all these, from the flowers to different people getting ready to the henna, putting on bangles, musicians to dancers etc, even the rapper was playing the character of the quintessential wedding crasher at south asian weddings. Weddings can be so big that wedding crashing is a sport😂. The good ones dress up for it.

The lyrics are really fun, but sadly many words and phrases do not have an equivalent in English and they do not translate well into it. So a lot of fun is lost in english. In Punjabi it is next level fun
