Here’s my reaction to the new Louis Vuitton Capsule collection! Or properly known as “a collection for Louis Vuitton by TYLER OKONMA.”

This collection didn't give "knock-off" vibes to me at all. It looks a lot of fun. And it looks real to me too. Like what knock-offs have this much character difference to their counterparts? Knock-offs are knock-offs in totally different ways, the slight color hues, the subtle differences in placements, the overall quality. This collection is way too deliberate to come off as knock-offish imo. It's doing what it set out to do. If someone wasn't caught up, glanced at this and thought it was fake, that's kind of a one-up over them and they wouldn't even know it. That's kind of fun. It's light-hearted, it doesn't take itself too seriously. And over time the collection will be more unique and rare than anything else if LV doesn't continue in this direction.

I definitely agree with after a couple years this collection is going to be way more special and sought after on the pre-loved sites. Especially since it’s a hand painted monogram, very creative. For me personally the craggy canvas just wasn’t my cup of tea (but I adored the concept and the colors he chose so so much).

I got the brown pocket organiser. Just love that little dog and the “hand printed” monogram. Also love the green Damien but I have to wait a bit to buy a new bag. Thank you for the video! 😘

I like the TTC collab. The logos (to me) look like they are hand painted, therefore, they’re not perfect. The bumbag looks awesome. And as a golfer, I am loving all those pieces (ironically Kate Spade also has a golf themed line this season). Thanks for this sit down discussion. I love these, especially your commentary “Powderpuff Girls” sweater!!!😊

Hi Maggy 🤗 I just received my brown card organizer and I love it. Just in case you hadn’t seen it yet…Tyler hand drew the design, that’s why the print varies. He has his own brand, so the style is a mix of his own branding and Louis Vuitton’s. ☺️🩷🤎💜🩵💛

❤❤❤Thanks for the video❤❤❤ I feel like a lot of people who don't like Tyler's monogram prefer Murakami's crisper, classic font. This pattern was hand drawn. So much was sold out on launch; the collection definitely found its niche

Totally agree! So I do love that they made this different for the people that wanted something different ~ or or me being hopefully that murakami will do a final collab and bring back the classic rainbow 🥹🫰🏻

@maggyxchuu I love both, but you can tell Murakami is a master of color. I don't think Murakami will want to come back. He might think, "been there, done that" 😭. If people were more accepting on KZfaq, Tyler's collection could have been a passing of the torch. Now I don't know if any collab after this can change the monogram as drastically as they did

When I first saw the print, I too liked the color scheme, but my very first thought was Lucky Charms cereal, My preppy loving heart did skip a beat for the golf green with pink accent but not enought to spend the money. Von Dutch trucker hat vibes😂

I love the bum bag; mine just arrived today and it’s the perfect size. I missed out on the old version and don’t love the high rise. I think the monogram is a bit quirky and suits the casualness of the style.
