I found Niki’s video judgy and talking about the herd was insulting. It was eye opening to how SHE thinks. But not how all of us think. I loved bags since I was a child and am not influenced for any of the reasons she stated. I love to watch you all because we have the same interest and love of handbags. Omg! Is that just too simple?!? Is it possible we are not having a herd crisis and simply just love these bags?!? Could it be!?! Btw, I bought the Prada tote bag with the buckles on the side that is similar to the Row margaux only smaller. It’s beautiful. I love your collection and your videos. Thank you for posting.

I think the main takeaway most of us are getting from her video is manipulation. She built a huge channel showcasing luxury purchases, and now has done a complete 180 and is basically saying “forget everything I have said and done over the years, here is the new way to be a superior person”. Ugh. I am way too old for that kind of manipulative marketing to affect me, but I do see many young women getting caught up in it. The comment section of Niki’s video was full of gushing praise for “being an inspiration!” Her video was scripted with all the latest holier-than-thou catchphrases, and the accompanying background music was of the hero-worship variety. She didn’t just find a cure for cancer or climb Mount Rushmore, she is selling luxury handbags. 🤨

Smells like the said influencer is influenced by the QUIET LUXURY movement. I agree with you that she should not make others who love these luxury handbags/things (including me) feel rotten about our choices. I don’t care if logos are not in right now that’s not a reason for me to get rid of my most loved handbags.

However if you are travelling from abroad then I understand that due to tax refunds and exchange rates you might find Paris prices are more favourable x

Guurrl! I just bought a beautiful Croc bag from Ferragamo. Released in 2017 for $17k in mint condition I bought it for 2k. So Deb you do not have to give up on looking for a croc bag. Brand new…yes no way can I afford it…so keep searching…

Yes!!! It’s not about the things , it’s about how you feel about it and if it’s a problem for you, try to fix it! Deb I’m like you about croc, I absolutely love it and I was in the hunt actually. But I’m just not able to pull the trigger and justify the price. Maybe one day on the second hand market since the prices can actually be dramatically lower, especially for LV. I own other exotics and I’ll stick with it.😂 You are smart to not necessarily shop abroad, especially when you end up paying more, it makes no sense. I don’t even shop in an other state here in the US if their taxes are higher than where I live. 🥴

It would be really useful if you could weigh bags (empty) that you are reviewing. Some bags can end up being surprisingly heavy empty and coupled with the weight of personal items become so heavy that they are unpleasant to use for any significant period of time. I have noticed that not many retailers include a bag’s weight and this information would be so useful in comparing bags.

As a US native, I would not recommend buying here if you can buy cheaper at home😂. New York has a very high sales tax as well. I avoid buying there often despite the fact I visit there often to see my wonderful partner. He’s used to the high sales tax, and I’m still not after nearly 4 years!!😂 they always have great options and stock there though!

I think it’s funny how people are so offended and upset by what another KZfaqr does. Who cares if it’s extreme? Maybe she had contemplated this for a year, we don’t know. It comes across to me that you all are judging her. I went through exactly what she went through and I’ve never looked back, so yes it can happen truly like it has happened with her. The only difference is that she’s sharing with the public. It’s very sad to me to see a KZfaqr like Connor basically calling Niki “insecure” when truly people who are so easily offended are the insecure ones.

I think you can understand there’s a difference between spending on frivolous, materialistic items, like handbags versus property, or other items that are good investments. And I think she was saying two separate points regarding her handbags. She was saying that it was way too much consumption and she also doesn’t like the logos anymore so she was specifically getting rid of all logos and then just downsizing her non-logo bags keeping few she still didn’t want to have the amount of bags she has even non-logo..

Why do you think brands like Chanel do not want to offer you bags that They haven’t checked are in stock or you see on shelves? I had a similar experience. She brought me bags that looked used to me. I pushed thru and continued to ask and I eventually got what I wanted. So many stores won’t even ask you if you need help. Blows my mind….

When I lived in NYC in the aughts, I loved wandering the small streets of Soho, Chelsea, Tribeca exploring the unique little shops. There are lots of talented local designers who make beautiful things. No point in hunting European luxury with its high tax in the US. You might find a unique American-made piece that would be a special memento. of the trip.

We all know that Nikki WILL NOT sell her gigantic McMansion home---this is the biggest social status purchase……………..common, Nikki is buying coach bags that are still too expensive for common people still around the world. Let’s not forget, Nikki became famous for faking videos: look rich girl with cheap stuff---hahaha.. We bought luxury or no luxury items for PERSONAL JOY & celebrate personal benchmarking successes.
