TAEMIN has a really beautiful sounding voice, I can't choose one song, but Hypnosis, Snow flower as ballads have always seduced me. Most people associate Taemin with dancing, which is at the highest level, but I have always liked his fantastic, atmospheric voice.

Thank you for reaction. We love to appreciate his vocals. He is not just a main dancer, he is a vocalist too. Fun fact: during one of Guilty fansigns, Taemin said on the day of Killing Voice recording he did not feel well and could not show us even "half of half of half of half" of what he can do 🥰

Snowflower has nothing to do with christmas...haha. I first knew Taemin for his beautiful ballads with that calming , soothing , yet powerful angelic voice and fell in love. Then I found out about his dancing and made him my ult.

I am very proud of Taemin. He is a true fighter especially when it comes to emotions. A lot of people, I would even say the majority, only see him as a legendary dancer. I immediately fell in love with his personality. Every time I see him somewhere I feel the need to hug him and tell him everything will be okay. We have something in common. I, too, am often misunderstood because I have problems correctly expressing emotions on my face and then the difficulty of saying them literally. Then you use wrong words because you can't help it and you look like an asshole. Yes I know that. I wish him all the love in the whole world and that one day he will be happy with himself.

In July during his birthday stream he was asked if he would do a killing voice video and he said that if he did, he will try to make it very general public friendly and recently he mentioned that his ballads aren’t popular compared to his other songs so he wanted to show these songs. also it’s kinda his first activity to focus on singing as a soloist so it make sense to take it a bit safer in song choices I personally love his ballads so I was shocked and happy when he did them some of them Hypnosis is kinda like a fan song at this point it’s one of his default tracks in setlists in everything and Rise is insanely popular, one of his best songs in my opinion

He did a live stream before he filmed his killing voice video and he mentioned that he was worried that the general public wouldn’t like it if his killing voice video was his title tracks and some of his popular songs that have dark or moody or very upbeat and mentioned he would do it very non fans friendly for ppl and general public who don’t know his music, also his favorite killing voice video is of an artist that is known to be a ballad singer so I guess he took that direction Hypnosis is popular in terms of his ballads, it’s his first direct ballad, it was in press it album (2016) and he usually sings it everywhere, it’s a default in his concerts and when he sings at events, it was for fans type of songs even tho the lyrics itself isn’t fan song but kfans love it a lot and among his ballads it’s like top3 popular ballads of his. Snow flower is a song he personally loves and I’m crying is a Japanese song and honestly as a shawol and I saw many other shawols also surprised that he sung this one considering out of his Japanese songs this one isn’t really known. Rise is fan favorite and it’s super dramatic it isn’t direct ballad and I think it’s love is a song that like snow flower he personally like and sing it for fans

12:00 The ballads are not super famous in korea, your perception of Taemin is the one like everybody has. I think he just chose his favorite ballads to showcase that side of him that a lot of people don’t know, since his vocals shine mostly in his bsides.

"I'm Crying" is actually originally Japanese and is also an OST to a Japanese drama called Final Life which Taemin is also one of the lead actors. He also has "U" ost for the K-drama To the Beautiful You and "Steps" for the K-drama Prime Minister and I. You can check those out, they're beautiful songs.

I have watched Taemin's KillingVoice video for many times. I really love just listening to his voice. No doubt that he's a gorgeous dancer, but people should know that he's a good singer too! In that video, my favorite ballad will be "I'm Crying". I think maybe it's because I was impressed when I first heard this song from his first solo concert in Japan. That song was so beautiful. If you are interested in "Black Rose", I highly recommend you to watch his live stage or the performance video. Not only the song, the dance choreography is also beautiful. I also feel so unsatisfied that the final part "Guilty" is too short! It's too good to just listen to the last part. After the album released, the melody of Guilty always appears in my head. You should definitely dive into Taemin's b-sides - they're pretty much all gorgeous vocal heavy tracks that just somehow strike right to the heart without even having to look up the words.

Was wishing for clockwork, soldier, day and night. But glad he chose to showcase some of his bsides aside from his mainstream tracks

Black Rose is so good! NGDA is literally no skips for me, but I think that might be my favorite of the bunch. Or at least of the b-sides. And yes, I recommend watching the live performances as well! The choreography is an attack. 😂 And yess I would absolutely love for you to listen to more of his albums!

I went into this Killing Voice similar to you, thinking I'd recognize most of his performances and ended up getting pleasantly surprised by his gorgeous b-sides. There're so many of his albums I need to properly check out now, which is exciting! In terms of other Killing Voice performances, I'd recommend the one by IU, Ailee and Highlight based on my personal preferences, but I'm sure others will tell you about a lot more!

Taemin is my favorite solo artist and luckily I had the opportunity to see him live this year at the fan meeting, where he sang several ballads! About Killing Voice, I'm 100% sure that SHINee didn't record this year because of Onew's hiatus, but on the next cb the group will be together!! I apologize, cause I don’t mean to be rude or anything like that, but I do feel like your (and many other people’s) perception of Taemin is indeed narrow. People focus mainly on his tt and don’t really dive into his vast and very diverse discography and that is why they are missing the essence of an artist that is Taemin. He’s so much more than just a mesmerizing, emotive dancer and so much more than just a sensual seducer. I believe in his heart Taemin is a true romantic, a person of profound depth and sensitivity. That is why he loves ballads (especially those sad, soulful ones) and why he connects to his audience so easily while performing. I’m sorry to say that, but if you haven’t checked any of his albums you actually don’t know who he is. His music is very personal. It’s a journey through his life and struggles. It’s full of passion, full of genuine pain, love, sometimes even desperation… Snow Flower is a sad song - the lyrics are full of guilt and regret. Rise is so meaningful to him - yes, he spreads his arms like he’s flying, cause the Korean title is Icarus (based on the Greek myth of a boy who flew too close to the Sun and burned his wings…). Black Rose is a hauntingly beautiful, mysterious song I’m sure you’ll fall in love with… Please check out his albums. NGDA Act 1 would be a good start I think, cause it’s probably the most mature and complex one in his discography (out of 3 full albums that is). Thank you for your reaction.

Those bsides are not popular at all! When I watched this Killing Voice I was so surprised with the choices! I was waiting something like Heaven, Strangers, Shadow, Artistic Groove and others bsides that are popular but he didn't do any of those!
