I really like ModernGurlz's idea that they could've done a "Momento Mori" theme since the industry has lost so many influential creators in the last 5 years. A night to allow people to honour not just one, but multiple different designers such as Virgil Abloh or Vivienne Westwood for example. It would've allowed for a lot more variation.

I liked Doja Cat and Jared Leto's outfits solely for the fact that they led me to learning about Choupette

For Sydney Sweeney her skin, while having some pink undertones, is more tanned and almost orange (not in a tacky way) which I think is why her dress looks so much better on her. The dress may be nude colored, but it isn’t an exact match to her skin tone so it doesn’t wash her out, she looks more like a light sunset than just one monotone block.

As soon as I seen the met gala looks I was like “I can’t wait to hear Mina’s thoughts”

This year’s theme felt like a huge marketing campaign for Chanel. Although I love some pieces it was very weird to see fashion houses and designers literally design pieces for their competitor??

the menswear looks this year were honestly so good. i wish you mentioned more because they did not come to play, i personally found more mens looks to be more memorable than some of the women's. conan gray specifically with his pearl embellished suit and fan was a gorgeous look.

Men like Bad Bunny, Conan Gray, Taika Waititi and Pedro Pascal slayed. They tried something different and I love that

Surprised you didn't mention any of the Thom Browne looks like Jenna Ortega or Bella Ramsey. I think that whole group was stunning and incredibly on theme as a whole with a really interesting mix of celebs.

I realized afterwards that all my favorite looks this year were all designed by Thom Browne. He got the theme and every celebrity wearing his outfits looked amazing.

Anna Hathaway’s dress is so sexy when I saw it I said “Anna Hataway just reminding me I’m also attracted to women” but this dress is such a gorgeous marriage of Versace and Chanel it might be my favorite of the night. Her hair giving a nod to Chanel muse Bardot was also so clutch she fully understood the assignment. 3. Black velvet on the Kim dress would have looked sick af 4. I feel like no one talks about how well Cardi does camp!! 5. I love how sweet that gown under Rhianna’s cape is and Asaps outfit is so great!

Harvey Guillén and Pedro Pascal had two of the best looks of the event imo, I'm surprised they weren't even mentioned here. Of the looks that were mentioned, Cardi B was the standout for me. Impeccably executed. Also would've been cool to hear you mention how much Lagerfeld hated pink and how a bunch of celebs showed up in pink in defiance of that, which I loved.

Ugh the Hatha-naissance is going SO GOOD. There's something in her hair/makeup lately that is just transcendentally good. It's like her face aged into her confidence and I'm loving it.

Thom Browne came, saw and conquered. His custom outfits on the different participants (Jenna, Janelle, Olivia and others) were so amazing.

Can please we bring up how Thom Browne and pretty much all of their outfits slayed. I really enjoyed all of their different takes on suits and the patterns they used in them worked out really well.

My favorite met gala look was Anne Hathaway’s Versace dress. The motif was so clear, she got the assignment.

One thing that is annoying me is the people giving brownie points to celebrities for wearing pink or wearing silhouettes "Lagerfeld wouldn't like". Like these celebrities did nothing except wear a pretty outfit to an event in his honor. Lagerfeld didn't hate pink as much as Twitter users seem to think he did. One of them even suggested that he hated bridal gowns and suggested that Dua was making a statement...

YES! Finally, someone talking about the lack of accessories. I don't understand what's going with celebs nowadays not using jewelry on the carpet anymore, but with this theme, there was no excuse for not using it and I kinda wished to see so many pearl necklaces, especially because Karl was never one to shy away from wearing costume jewelries

OMG YES Dua Lipa's hair made me so mad, she could've looked amazing with that hat. Everyone was loving her whole look but to me it looked so mid.

A lot of the outfits that were pink and/or exaggerated curves where in reference to the many times Karl Lagerfeld stated that he hated pink and that "no one wants to see curvy women". Cardi B and I'm pretty sure Ashley Graham's looks were an example of that. So were Grace Elizabeth, Harvey Guillén Quannah Chasinghorse, Lizzo and Kela Walker. I was surprised not to see that mention.

I think my biggest issue with a lot of the looks was the hair or the accessories or lack thereof. I think a lot of people forget just how much hair contributes to a look. I would’ve loved if Nicole had a lot more volume to her hair with some bouncy curls like she did in the ad.

I was hoping you would talk about Lil Nas X's look. The white cat theme used so differently between three guests was entertaining and very meme-able. Harvey Guillen was my FAVORITE. Having a body that Karl Lagerfeld hated and showing up in a beautiful soft pink tux/dress combo is bold. And Harvey looked so happy in it!

It's not talked about but I really Love Sora Choi's look. I think it really display the Chanel Tweed aesthetic yet still remain so elegant and feminine, she just looked so good!

My favorite male look of the night (if not all-time) was FORSURE brian tyree henry. he just looked so extravagant and ate up the theme so effortlessly…i’m obsessed.

I love all the accessories Mina is wearing! I wish more of the attendees had really gone OTT with the costume jewelry. It would of read more Lagerfeld idk lol (Also I think Vivienne Westwood would be a waaaaay more interesting theme)

The carpet is made by a brand (Neytt by Extraweave) based in Kerala, India. It is made of fibres from the bark of agave plants making it very sustainable. It was hand painted in the U.S., a process that took 60 days. I fully agree the carpet colors might not have been the best choice for complimenting the theme but let's not brush away the effort behind it:)

Was fully expecting Mina's lovely "Hello my beautiful doves" greeting, and was pleasantly surprised at the "Hello my sweet pearls". As much as I love the usual greeting, I like the little change up 💕

I loved Sora Choi’s outfit, it was more than basic and was giving 200%💗💗 kinda sad it wasn’t really focused in the media. I swear most of the Asian stars at the Met ball were not highlighted at all🙃

I think the last time a Met gala actually caught my full attention was when the theme was "camp". After that idk what happened but my interest has dwindled but I often find my way here to watch Mina's commentary afterwards. Congrats Mina on surpassing a million subscribers!!! I loved that Kim's shawl was draped to look like two camellias as well, an easy to miss detail. Also that corset style with the dip was used (in the same sort of fabric) in the last schiaparelli collection.

I met a cat when I stayed in a 2-month airbnb and fell in love with the cat, and a year later, I emailed the hosts asking if I could have him. And they said yes. So I drove him from New York to New Orleans and he's the love of my life still, ten years later!

Anne Hathaway's look is stunning. I am REAL picky and I'd wear it. It combines elements I tend to do myself; mixing elegant,classic fabrics and cuts mixed with something more grunge (the cuts and safety pins)

okay two things, 1. I wished you talked more about different men wearing in the met gala ik a lot were boring and literally simple but there were some that literally looked amazing like pedro pascal (for me), bad bunny, taika waititi, labrinth, shai gilgeous Alexander, Conan gray, Alton mason (a fav of mine), diddy, and one of my fav again brain tyree henry!! 2. I wish the the theme could be about different fashion designers that passed away and really shaped the creativity of fashion. it would be cool to see many different designers come up with ideas of their favorite designers passed away and bring a memorial to them. it would be touching to see and definitely fun to watch.
