I could see Wemby at number 1, but I think Luka has proven that he can be the best at every level he’s ever played at, nba or not. I think he has proved that he is the best player at 25 and under. Also, he is the only one in the top 10 who is still in the playoffs.

Kevin Huerter and John Collins got worse after they left the Hawks. Not like anyone is praising Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter in 2024. Trae Young has had 3 playoff game winners, without him the Hawks would still be stuck in the lottery.

But this list isn't just about rn, it states that it takes into account their future, and seeing that Shai is 5 years older and Wemby now is much better than what Shai was at his age, I don't think you could argue with Shai over Wemby in this list at all.

For 1 season right now. The thing that scary about being that tall and having that frame, not just injury but he’s unfortunately more likely for serious injuries after wear and tear of multiple seasons. Obviously hoping not, but it’s a concern to have (especially with nba history with guys that tall)

wemby's hype is not overblown, being the best defender at year 1 is not over blown. Wemby at year 1 gets tripled team or doubled, his offensive potential have great ceiling because nobody on this league is capable of blocking his midrange jumpshots. but luka at this point should be ahead of him, ican see him overtake luka at year 2 or 3 because he plays both sides of the floor.

Paolo is younger and already better and still improving. There’s no argument for Chet over Paolo

The explanations quite simple. He has not played in a long time, because of injury and disciplinary issues. If he does start playing again consistently, and looses the injury and disciplinary issues, he will rise. If not, he won’t.

chet is 3rd option on this okc squad, banchero is the top guy, he dragged his team to playoffs as the top guy, the credit on banchero is warranted. but giving 3 of the top spots on okc and putting shai ahead of luka is disingenious, if you put chet and jdub at top 10 luka should be way above shai on the list.

What does empty calories mean when he was one of the best playmakers in the league, despite having the worst spacing around him? The Pistons were chaos last year. For him to thrive in that environment when everyone else sucked is a testament to how good he’s going to be once he actually has a team.

He was also not having to drag a team along like Banchero, his life was a lot easier as the second option. And when it mattered in the Dallas series he was poor. So for me he is clearly too high. A lot of guys in this list had to be the first option for their teams, and none of those teams would have swapped them for Jdub so he could be their first option .

And he was only in year 2 and Maxey was in year 4… age is a factor but so is experience and once JDub gets more sky is the limit he can be a two way beast like Kawhi or Jimmy Butler. Jimmy was a mediocre role player until he was 25
