As an oilers fan I really appreciate you showing some respect to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, I think a 100 point season plus his really strong defensive play deserves an 89 overall. Also EA completely disrespected Adam Fox I think he is the clear cut number 2 defenceman in the league

I agree with Fox, but RNH is a total powerplay merchant on the best power play in the league. Good player, but I think his rating is fair. Over half his points are on the powerplay

@@DarkLobster69 Draisaitl scored 32 of his 52 goals on the power play and almost half of Mcdavids points were on the power play but no one thinks they are carried by the power play. I watched most of the oilers games last year and i can confirm nuge is often the one making the difficult passes. Without him i dont thinks its even top 5 power play in the league

@@HolyFrickBro people also call Draisaitl a power play merchant, so idk how that strengthens your argument. And if you seriously think anyone is bold enough to call McDavid a pp merchant, than idk. The point is, McDavid is clearly the best player in the league by a wide margin, Draisaitl is definitely slightly overrated because his stats get boosted by McDavid, even if it is a symbiotic relationship, and Nuge just sits there and benefits from playing on the powerplay with the best and 4th or 5th best player in the world. If Nuge was on the wild or kings or a random team, he would be a solid second line center, with maybe 70 points as a career year

"surprised to see pettersson so high".... bro lol he should be higher dude was a top 5v5 player, 2nd in blocked shots by a forward, 1st in pk goals and points, 1st in drawing penalties, positive gw/tk ratio for 56 tk and 47 gw, 74 hits (which very few in the league surpassed 70 plus hits and points), plus 16 on a team with a minus 22, and had 100 plus points on a non playoff team.... he did all that while starting in the dzone 44% (which is higher than legit everyone in the top 15 btw... pettersson continues to be the worlds most underrated player.

Stutzle at 89 when Thompson is at 91 is wild to me considering they were 4pts apart last season and Stutzle is better defensively but I'm not surprised it is EA and Adam Fox rating is a joke

Not sure why they don’t like Sergachev at 88. These are the points from last year for all the 88 overall LD. Sergachev-64 Chabot-41 Pelech-21 Lindholm-53 Slavin-27 Obviously points aren’t everything but he’s 11 more points than the next guy and 23 more than the guy after that, all while being solid defensively.

Luca has great NFL takes but some of the worst hockey takes imaginable. Sees Pettersson being underrated and says he’s too high, but Tkachuk having one good year? Is he serious? I can’t actually tell

I love you guys, but you clearly don't watch, read, or know anything about the Vancouver Canucks. Pettersson was in the MVP conversation last season, he scored over 100 points on a team that played 45 games with AHL goaltending. He's got the hardest shot among all forwards in the league, and won the hardest shot comp as well. Not only that, he's an RFA after this year, not UFA! Hit the books boys.

People dont understand how these ratings work. Its based on the individual attributes, each one is weighted differently. The stat that contributes most to overall is Off Awareness, followed by Def Awareness. A player can have high numbers in lower weighted stats and not be as high overall.

The John Gibson take was not good. The guy has been on his head for years with a team who just can’t get it done… if you look at the average shots he’s faced per game over his career it’s crazy 35+ given that he gets peppered in net every game I think he had done an amazing job in the crease and deserves his high rating!

I will say Gibson gets way too much hate. The guy has usually high .800 save percentage on a team that plays Swiss cheese defense. He averaged facing near 50 shots a game last season.

I think it’s time that nhl switches to the fifa rating system(real overall ratings). Because we are all saying for example; karlsson. He is amazing offensively, but not great defensively. If the used fifas system, he’d probably be like an 85/86. It puts more emphasis individual stats, and rewards the actual best overall in offensive and defensive players like Crosby heiskenan

Roman Josi is a top 10 D and is debatably still better than fox. Give it time though and that will change. Josi was basically the only player besides Saros on Nashville last year.

what I dont get is they upped Josi to a 94 and he had a great season but Hedman is falling off a cliff and hes a 93 when he was on pace for less than 60 points.. Mike Matheson had a better pace than that on an ``interesting`` habs lineup
