After suffering my spinal cord injury i have really had to adapt in life. So Im showing you my disability lifestyle to raise disability awareness. As a disabled woman and a woman in a wheelchair who is paralysed, I thought it would be interesting for you to see, and hopefully give you some inspiration and motivation so that you can live more independently. wether you are paraplegic or quadriplegic I hope that I can help you. The wheelsnoheels message is “so no one has to feel alone.”
I have lots of interesting disability videos, a lot of videos on how to cope with a disability and living life in a wheelchair, wether you are a girl boy woman or man. i have some paraplegic exercise videos, and advice. its important to keep your fitness levels up as much as possible as this can when physically and mentally with depression.
If you feel I have given you value today consider buying me a ko-fi, just think of it as a tip.

6:00 the wicker one they use in the secret garden movie to push Colin in. My favourite is the snow one. The best for 3rd world countries I’d say would be the (2nd picture) plastic garden chair converted.

Thank god that seat elevators have improved drastically. As for me, that flame thrower would come in handy these days when someone gets too close.

My favourite would be a combination of three of the wheelchairs you showed. The 1880s wheelchair, for the chassis and wheels The early 1900s Bath Chair for the wickerwork and steering lever The Professor Xavier Steampunk wheelchair for all the control levers. That combination I think would come quite close to the wheelchair from the tenth Discworld novel, Moving Pictures.

Since you mentioned a Segway Wheelchair...this is the Omeo. You can move forward and back and side to side by moving your body. There's also the option to move side to side with a joystick if you get tired or are just starting out. You can go on the beach with it and everything! It's amazing! I got mine last year and it's truly changed my life. omeotechnology.com/

Those are so cool! And some just odd... I have tested one very similar to one in the video. It was a Victorian one and it was actually pretty comfortable and very stable, probably because of the sturdy wood. You can't do a wheelie or so with those Victorian ones, though, but it was a cool experience. In the musical Wicked they actually use a wheelchair kind of modeled after a Victorian wheelchair for the wheelchair bound character named Nessarose and it looks fabulous on stage! (I do think it is very hard to maneuver such type of wheelchair on a stage with the stage angle and such)

Great video 😊 since I have a power chair and live in Sweden I really wish there was a wheelchair that worked like a hoover so I didn't have to be afraid to get stuck in the snow! But I have actually found it really good now when we have to keep a distance to people, because everybody always keeps a big distance from me anyway (besides people I know of course 👍).

I've seen a prototype for poor country, it uses two leverages, one each side where the user push them to achieve a momentum to the wheels to climb holes and stones of country clay roads. Very hard to explain.

There’s some weird ideas out there, it’s got to be the wicker one or the velvet one for me, I love vintage and it’s so crazy the seats look so much more comfortable than those modern ones, seat comfort for myself is paramount, we should get together on to the designers, think we would create a masterpiece, more vintage style less space age. Just found you and enjoying watching very much. 💕

Ugh, the chair at 14:08 is SO close to what I have, design wise (And yeah, it's as comfortable as it looks). The only difference is that I was able to remove the arm rests, so that helped a bit. I will be so, SO glad when I get a new chair. Not having insurance sucks, I do not recommend.

GEM! Youve gotta go to the LONDON SCIENCE MUSEUM, and borrow one of their wheelchairs..... they are the 3 wheeled modern bucketstyle chairs, with the 3rd wheel on the back. they are ace!!! time stamped at 3:31 (wait till lock down is over though... ;) ) I used to borrow one before i finally qualified for nhs funding. but they are pretty nifty if youve got good arm strength. they take getting used to though, the turning circle is further forward, about mid thigh. and no wheelies gem! they cant do that! Highly recomend a visit regardless, try a chair if you can, they are ace! they have bucket 3 chairs i think, donated by a company, and its first come first served, you cant book them sadly, but they do have 2 "normal" ones for thoes less daring, so ive never turned up and not had access to a bucket one. oh, they have a medical museum on the 7th floor, no kids allowed i dont think, but could be an interesting video topic? or maybe a tad too creepy.... ;)

1:26 I know I have. 3:08 That was actually 180 degrees. 3:58 I was thinking the same thing, Shaun! LOL 4:56 Did he whistle something you recognized? 5:07 The controls look like those of what I know as a roadmaster. 5:48 Maybe Johnny said it that way as well, but I remember him saying, "Heeeere's Johnny!" I hasten to add, I don't see the relevance. 5:59 Well, at least you can *steer* yourself. 6:38 I could not hope to agree more! 7:12 Uh...I actually meant because of the armrests. 7:54 What the heck are those controls for? 9:20 I think I'd prefer a proper footplate, but other than that... :-) 9:32 Too bulky for my taste. 9:55 I'm not into Star Wars, but this does give me an idea. 10:04 What are you into? Star Wars? Star Trek? Something else? 10:18 This reminds me of that thing Emperor Palpatine was walking in, in one of the Star Wars movies. To give you an idea of what I mean: www.rebelscum.com/TLC/Basic/BD10Sidious/header.jpg 11:13 I would so love that!
