They use petri flask & leave group so it auto teleports them out after 1 minute (petri lasts 1 min). They were not scurrying and panicking, or maybe they were, but that's why they all leave group.

That’s me at 14:09. I don’t regret calling for our pally to bubble so soon instead of having a skulled mob hit her for too long. The warrior got bop’d and then I had distance after the blink to cast poly and r1 frost bolts which all resisted. The nova landing was lucky in the end. Nonetheless, having an asmongold face palm reaction to my clip is pretty awesome.

What's impressive to me is Asmon looks at a random clip and can tell instantly what's happening.

There's an old test taking strategy I remember from high school for matching sections - when it comes down to two blanks left and you're absolutely sure of everything else, put the same answer for both so you guarantee yourself at least one point instead of risking getting both wrong. I feel like the same thing sort of applies to trying to run between two mobs - just run entirely toward one instead of risking aggroing both. At least that's what I've always done.

The highlights are so good from classic hardcore, I really hope blizz roll out a new version for season of mastery

The upshot of dying embarassingly in hardcore like this is at least you can make it on a compilation like this. Then your character can be immortalized more than it would have been otherwise.

This isn't just death bias videos. Anyone playing HC sees how many people die every night before even level 20...to things they know to watch out for. And they do it...consistently.

You can get killed from bugs from the game, agro from other players, respawns, layering, greifing, so I don’t know why ppl don’t play way safer. There are already too many risks let alone not playing smart and safe.

I used to solo that grp quest in vanilla back in the days (12:20), as long as one is cced for a while it's okay, then you run away and heal up, go back and finished the last one - watch for respawns tho Not sure if it's as easy nowdays, do they have hyperspawning?

As a years long player of Realm of the Mad God, an MMO with perma-death built in, Asmon is right, these people should have been prepared, every encounter should be taken seriously as even a small slip up can mean hundreds of hours lost. And if you go into a dungeon without the proper gear, that's 100% on you.

You can Life Tap yourself to death. Its tricky to do, but totally doable. If you regen the exact amount of health for a Life Tap, after depleting from Life Taps( or from whatever brings your health low), it will kill you. Ive only done it twice after many times trying over the years.

Complacency might be the biggest killer in hardcore classic wow, but I'm starting to suspect that using Questie is at least 2nd place. SO many clips where someone's doing a quest with that addon that is a quest they should 100% not be doing at their level/gear/consumes/etc.

The explanation for these mistakes is that WoW players in general tend to look for shortcuts and ways to make content quicker or easier, and this sort of thing is detrimental to doing a hardcore run. Jumping off a cliff as a shortcut or pulling too many mobs or running a dungeon is tempting because it may get them to their goal a lot faster, but it might also end in ruin. It's the same reason people tend to like to invest in risky stocks and drive far above the speed limit, but the fact that there is little punishment for that behavior in normal WoW runs means that the WoW player is far less likely to be able to resist the temptation. It requires a lot of self control that not everyone has.

I have never once touched WOW but this might get me into it.

Some of these people remind me of the other Priests I have encountered in classic, they will pull aggro and instead of fading to drop it, they die, even had one tell me it does not work very well so I don't use it.....also when you do need to run never do it with your back exposed, every hit you take will be a crit. wtf

I think with the dudes going up against open world elites, or running dungeons or mass pulling mobs as a Mage have what I call Retailitis. The genuine surprise when they die is delicious.
