4 o'clock is one of my favorite BTS songs ever. It's such a good song, it helps calm me so much, it's great to play in the morning, and since I'm not a morning person, if I have a bad morning it ruins my entire day, but just playing this song helps uplift me so much. I love RM singing and he doesn't do it very often, his voice matches with V's so well, if you watch the behind the scens of them making this song, it was V who asked RM to sing that part bc he knows that a lot of ppl like his voice, and RM agreed to do it...I love them so much. The fact they enlisted together is so sweet. RM and V are such a good duo.

As sentimental and emotional as 4 o’clock feels, its backstory is that hilarious dumpling incident, when the two of them fought over eating dumplings during practice or waiting until after finishing practice. They didn’t speak for a while, and with each telling, the length of the silence changes 😂. At some point, Jimin went out with Yoongi for drinks, got drunk, then met up with Tae at a park at 4 am, where they apparently made amends. They mentioned it briefly and cutely in 2020 Festa Answer: BTS 3 units song by V and Jimin. Hopefully next time you listen to the song it’ll feel a bit less sad

Vocal line in bts are really good with the breathy singing which is normally quite difficult to do well. But w tae when he does it deep has a smoky quality that I loveeee

Taehyung is a sentimental guy. He sings with such emotional delivery, it touches ❤ and leaves a lasting impression. His choice of solo songs/ projects reflect his melancholic and sentimental side. Taehyung has said before that he uses music to work through his emotions. These 2 songs are so sad, Hug me is filled with longing and desperation, 4 o'clock is sweet melancholy and nostalgia. During the pandemic, everything felt so unfair without an outlet to complain. These 2 songs provided that for me. I cried listening to them, but was also comforted by the beautiful voice. I know it sounds weird...

Namjoon was thinking that only Taehyung’s voice could be in this song but Taehyung said that Namjoon voice was very important in the song and finally Taehyung’s decision was the best and you can hear one the most beautiful collaboration between BTS members. And Hug me is a beautiful cover when you can hear two different approaches about a lose love one with the most sad mode and the other with rage, both with absolute despair. Thanks Lory 💜

V has a soulful voice and he really makes you feel emotion, ALL emotions. Even in the IU and V duets ‘ending scene’ and he doesn’t even have to sing to make you feel, like his acting in ‘Love wins all’. He really is special and unique. You should also check out him singing opera, it’s not a trained professional vocal, it’s just him fooling around, but you can see that with training he could also be amazing at o-era and musical theatre (he should some of this in the behind the scenes of the making of ‘black swan’. 0:15

Hug me was a cover, but V loves to sing sad songs and he sings with so much emotion you can actually feel the pain and hurt. These are my emo songs when I am in the mood. Just to be confusing, they have a couple of songs that have clock in the title. I think the Army in the Dingo video said it was Zero O'Clock that comforted her. Would highly recommend checking it out, they have a live performance from their O:NE shows...once you listen to it you'll understand why it helped her.💜

I think V wanted to remember the sadness felt over not being in good term with Jimin 'the moonchild' and how important was for him to solve that and start a new day in peace. Just another data: Jimin studied by night (practiced singing, sometimes practices dancing afterwards everyone, he studied scripts at night)...so I can see Jimin at that time still doing so, in this song.
