i have to say its very underrated my younger self hated tas because of how slow paced and boring it was compared to what i grew up with (tobey maguire) or atleast its what i thought when i was 12 i dont think it was that boring the 2nd time i watched it, i seen the whole movie this year (because the 1st time i tried to watch it i honestly idk why but i honestly did not like it a lot i thought it was boring) AND I LOVED IT the movie was amazing and i cannot wait for a 3rd movie

Spider-man 3 is great, also so is homecoming, the Miles take is respectable tho he is my 2nd favorite but i can see why you like him, nwh is great, i liked the black n red suit in ffh, iron spider is a bad version of the suit but works better as an advanced version of the stark suit

@@smrt9311 Thank you for asking. Now I just want to make something clear: I don't think ITSV is a Terrible Movie like I do Venom 1+2 and Morbius. It's clear to me that the Creative Team behind ITSV wanted and were trying to make a Good Movie. So I want my elaboration to be a fair assessment, and I'm going to start with the positives: Positives: 1) I think the animation is visually stunning and unique, and I'm glad TMNT Mutant Mayhem (My Most Anticipated Superhero Movies for the rest of 2023) is adapting that. (I'm a HUGE TMNT Fan as well as a HUGE Spider-Man Fan) 2) The Voice Acting for the Most Part is Pretty Great. 3) Stan Lee's Cameo was Great and Emotional. 4) The Music is Absolutely Phenomenal. What's Up Danger is an absolute Banger that I think deserves the praise it gets. 5) There were definitely good ideas and elements of a Good Movie in here, now whether it all came together or not is up to the Individual. Now for my Issues: 1) I think your feelings towards the movie very much depends on your feeling towards Miles Morales. Now Miles is a character in the Marvel Universe/Superhero Genre that I personally found bland, unnecessary, unoriginal, and sometimes even annoying. Now in this film, I think they did try and make him his own character as opposed to "a copy of Peter Parker" as I used to think of him as, and I can appreciate that. I think the problem is... me. You see, his personality in ITSV gave me uncomfortable vibes of the very Power Ranger (I'm a HUGE Power Rangers Fan) that drove me away from the Power Rangers Franchise for three years. And the fact that that Ranger I went from just disliking to unable to stand in the episode that killed a lot of my love for Power Rangers that came out only four months before ITSV meant I hadn't fully recovered from that, as ITSV gave my uncomfortable vibes of that Episode. Also, I still found Miles quite annoying in this movie. 2) I think "Spider-Man: Miles Morales" Would've been a more appropriate title for this movie, as... the VAST Majority of the Movie let's say takes place on Miles' World. Now I completely understand that it would not have been wise to explore all these different universes in one movie when we were just being introduced to Miles' Universe, as it would have left audiences confused, so I guess my suggestion is: Don't shoehorn other Spider-People into the first Movie. Let us connect to Miles first before introducing all these other Spider-People. For me, the other Spider-People felt like Fan-Service that were not given much to do, something I feel a lot of DCEU Movies have done an even worse job at. 3) Because of this, it feels like they crammed two films worth of story into one: A Miles Morales Origin Story, and a Spider-Verse Team-Up Story, and I don't think the mix was executed as well as the Creative Team wanted it to. So it then comes across to me that the Spider-Verse feels out of place in Miles' Story, and Miles feels out of place in the Spider-Verse Story, when I think both would've been fine by themselves. 4) A lot of the other characters I didn't care about. I found Miles' Dad quite unlikeable too. They showed more of him and Miles arguing than being caring (Not saying there can't be conflict or that Miles' dad can't be strict, but I would've like a balance between the two) that the motivational speech Jefferson gives Miles towards the third act unfortunately didn't move me the way the Writers wanted it to, as I didn't really buy into them being close, so Jefferson didn't help Miles' case for me in making me connect to Miles a bit more. And that's the thing, I found a lot of the relationships to be kind of mean-spirited that put me off a lot of the emotional scenes. The other Spider-People felt quite unlikeable with the way they looked down on Miles that when they were saying goodbye and got sad, I was thinking "Whoah, where did this come from? I recall you guys being quite mean a couple of scenes ago." I never felt the Spider-People had formed a bond with each other, so that scene felt like it came out of nowhere and it falls flat for me. This is a shame especially in the case of Spider-Gwen because, while I'm not the biggest fan of the idea of Spider-Gwen, I LOVE Hailee Steinfeld and I think she's a fantastic actress and talented person, one of my favourite actress actually, who deserved better (I have heard Gwen's given more to do in Across the Spider-Verse though, so that's sounds promising). As for Peter B. Parker, it came across to me that the Writers went for a "Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne in Batman V Superman (A Movie I Hated)" Route with him, where the mentality was "People have seen Peter Parker plenty of times on the big screen, so people already care about about him." I can understand that, but this is a new interpretation of Peter, so try and make us care about THIS Version of Him. And I honestly didn't get a good impression of him. His story of him getting back his mojo might've been more effective had we seen THIS Version of Peter previously, but as far as I can tell, it's not the same version as any previously established version of the character. While it is adjacent to the Peter of Miles' Earth, I did not know the Chris Pine Version of Peter very well. There's a reason why The Incredible Hulk is still a Low Tier MCU Movie for me. 5) This is Very Subjective, but the humour did not work for me at all. People will probably say "There's a difference between Clever Jokes and Jokes Every Minute, so don't be surprised if people prefer the Humour in ITSV over that in the MCU" (As you can see, I have been kind of harassed for my opinion on ITSV in the past). But honestly, jokes like "You got to say I Love you back" made me dislike Jefferson more for purposely and publicly embarrassing Miles like that. And stuff like "I think I hit Puberty." felt forced to try and make it sound like an Adult Joke. It didn't help that it became stale pretty quickly when Miles said "It's a puberty thing". I get they were often going for some Meta Humour, and while I do think it worked REALLY well in Deadpool 1+2, I'm not sure it worked well here. This is evident in the "Alright, Let's do this One More Time" Exposition Segments of the Movie, which got old for me pretty quickly. First time it was done, it was okay, but each time got worse and more annoying for me. 6) I feel the movie had a lot of clashing central themes to the film that were competing for screen time. There was stuff like: Acceptance; Giving Second Chances; Family, and unfortunately I don't think they coexisted together as well as the Crew wanted them to, meaning some of them are underdeveloped like Miles trying to settle in to his new school, Jefferson's relationship with his Sone and with Spider-Man felt maybe resolve in between scenes, and the whole "Anyone Can wear the Mask. Anyone can be Spider-Man" Line at the end of the Movie felt a little preachy to me and it didn't feel earned because I didn't feel they showed it because I felt the other Spider-People had no real purpose in the story. And this is where I get into why I prefer Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 over ITSV: for as many plotlines both of those movies have, I felt they were brought together by ONE CENTRAL THEME in each Movie: In SM3's case: Forgiveness; and in TASM2's case: Can Spider-Man Give Others (and Himself) hope? Overall, Into the Spider-Verse is a 4/10 for me. I appreciate some aesthetics and concept, but I think the story and characters needed some work for me. Maybe Across the Spider-Verse will be an overall improvement, as it does seem like it's actually living up to its subtitle, and seeing Spider-Man 2099 in a Movie I think will be cool, but from the trailers I'm worried the humour might be worse for me. Anyway, I know this was a long commet, and if you've made through all of it, thank you and I appreciate it.

Gamora Vision and Loki died, Thor is tortured, Quill is tortured psycologically, Iron Man is almost killed, half of the universe dies, even Thanos cries when he sees young gamora, Nebula is almost killed, Spiderman death, ect....the whole tone is the darkest marvel has ever been ( at least the MCU )

Ntm I think they get away with criticisms people point at other superhero movies. Say what you will about Thor Love and Thunder, but give me Screaming Goats from that movie over Kirsten Dunst Mary Jane any day of the week.
