I warned you! This song brings a grown man to tears! Thanks for reaching to this. It is so beautiful and emotional. I still cry every time I hear it. Great reaction btw, and great analysis of what they are doing musically. I’m also glad to see someone else who recognizes the genius arranging of Jamey Ray. I almost want to take a music class at Rollins College to have him as a professor and just pick his brain as to how he comes up with these beautiful Arrangements!

I was completely unaware of this song, as I never saw the movie it's from. But I love that Voctave is my introduction to it. The best thing about Christmas is, in my not-so-humble opinion, the music.

Thanks for this reaction. Hope you make a video in your Christmas month of one of Dan Vasc's Christmas covers, "Angels we have heard on high", "Adeste fidelis" or maybe "Amazing grace"? That would be great!

Oh, wonderful! Enjoy! I hope I get the chance to see them live soon. Aaron was in Voices of Liberty last time I was at WDW, at least, but there’s something special about Voctave’s sound.

That was so sweet! It made me think of my son and how we sang together as a family especially at Christmas. My three children are still musicians as are my grandchildren. I always call my son Mijo as well. ❤ Thanks for featuring it. If you're going to do a 'Mary did you know' reaction, maybe you could do an acapella group comparison. It's a great song.

How lovely that music has stayed in the family through the generations! I'm the only one amongst my generation and the generation above who pursued it professionally at any point. I won't get to Mary, Did You Know this year, but it's 100% on the list for next year (unless I do more Xmas in the middle of the year or something - there's just so much!).

LOVED your reaction to this and your analysis! You have to do Mary did you know as well! You will enjoy all the layers there too. On the fact about Voctave and Halloween they have a medley of Poor Unfortunate Souls/I put a Spell on you featuring Rachel Potter that is great for the Halloween time. You would love that one. Also you couldnt go wrong with Heroes and Villians medley for that time either (i dont think you did that one yet? ) Soooo many good Christmas ones! Also this one was another one recorded during COVID in 2021 which is why they are recorded separately. (saw them two weeks before this album came out and it was an awesome concert)

Thank you! Yes, I really want to get to Mary, Did You Know - it won't be this month, unfortunately, but it's top of my Voctave seasonal list. I had forgotten about that medley - I did see it at some point. I made a mistake by saying they didn't have Hallowe'en stuff. I have not done Heroes and Villains yet, but that will probably be in my next Disney month. Glad you managed to get to see them! I hope to do so one day soon.

Quite possible, although there are some points where he veers a few cents off pitch that makes me wonder. Even if they did, his control is still excellent.

I’m pretty sure they didn’t because they are known for being professionals with nearly perfect pitch so they don’t use autotune. I know Ashley worked with him quite a while on this song so give Gael props! He has a stunning voice for a 4 year old (at the time, I believe). But of course his mom has an incredible voice!
