I don't think anyone realizes that even though most of this routine he's already used in a previous battle, he changed many of the sounds in a different way. Then, when he says Chi town, he completely changes the structure. 80% of the structure is the same as before, but he tweaked the special sounds to where they have the same feeling but a different sound.

The texture and quality of his sounds are much sharper here in this performance compared to his previous ones. This is just one of those things that comes as you mature as a listener.

people think it's very easy to come up with a new routine. but you need 2 wildcards, a showcase performance and who knows how many battles just for GBB, and there are still a lot of beatboxing activities ahead

Man, I can’t believe I just happened to stumble upon such a wonderful community like beatboxing. In 2019, I heard about a guy named codfish, I then found d-low and wanted to learn. I found you next helium, and I have to say, your style of drum and bass is so clean and I wish you the best in this competition! (I personally hope you win) I need so much more practice hahaha. ❤

if you listen, most people do re use a lot of stuff anyway... specially from their first round. Its usually a different take on it. Though the people who fully do new things every time clearly get noticed for it by top level guys such as dlow etc. Like Mr Androide for example, always something completely new and different... even ice.

ZVD did have some issue with the clarity in the composition. I noticed it immediately the first time I watched it and although I can still enjoy it and watch others react, it doesn’t hit that hard like I was hoping for. I wonder if it was a mixing issue, but I can understand it being an off day sort of vibe and it’s evident that many beatboxers might struggle in that way, such as Heartzel and Trung Bao at last GBB.

I think it’s hype for non beatboxer I thought so too when I first heard it but once you listen to it it sounds the same unlike inward bass which has way more utility and variation

Yet Napom reached top 5 in Eliminations despite doing the same routines he has done since 2016. Roll like this? King Inertia had done Reckless many times before GBB21. River had done every one of the drops before but in different routines. Helium has done same drum and bass routine but made some differences everytime. They used same well loved idea, but altered it to make it better.
