👉 Here is playing the best Kobys player in the world, Dimash’s friend Olzhas Qurmanbeck. This bowl-neck lute played with a bow is is an old Turkic stringed instrument and called Kobys, Qobyz or Kylkobyz in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz variant, for example, is called the kyl-kyyak. The Kobys is the oldest string instrument in the world and, according to a German scientist, it spread beyond the borders of the nomadic area of Central Asia and became the mother (prototype) of all European string instruments. (Turkic means: The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups from Central, East, North and West Asia as well as parts of Europe and North Africa who speak Turkic languages. Difference between Turkic and Turkish - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hteom9dzysm6lZs.html ) A legend about Kobyz says that this instrument was created by the great steppe narrator Korkyt-Ata, who lived in the 10th century and that the tool is charged with magical and even mystical properties and sounds like animal voices. In addition, the Kazakh people believed that the spirits of their ancestors spoke to them through this music. The old outlook and piety towards their instruments and music was constantly preserved in traditional Kazakh society and ensured the highest spiritual level of musical art and a special respectful attitude towards musical instruments. Simple people, for example, did not dare to touch the shaman's Kobyz. It is said: The balance between the courses of life and death on earth can be maintained by playing the Kobyz.

Great reaction! The instrument is the Kobyz, a traditional Kazakh folk instrument. The musician playing it, is know to be one of the best Kobyz players in the world. Dimash held that mix note for 20 seconds at the end. I think you would really enjoy "Sinful Passion" 2018 at Sochi or "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave.

Great reaction - how about reacting to his vocalise of ‘Ave Maria’ next? Both ‘Stranger’ and ‘Ave Maria’ (& others!!!) were written especially for Dimash by Igor Krutoy who is the guy on the piano. Igor is a very famous composer/producer who has written for Lara Fabian, Andrea Bocelli and many others and came out of retirement to write for Dimash! Thank you. Plymouth UK 🇬🇧

👉 Premiere: Maestro Igor Krutoy and Dimash Qudaibergen have created the really unique song in English with enchanting oriental melodies. “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience... I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way”. - Krutoy said. (dimashnews) A Dear hits the nail on the head with this statement: “These are the voices of the world singing the tragedy of human migration forced by tragic circumstances.” Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family is in the US now. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. Dimash said also in an interview about the collaboration with Igor Krutoy that it is important to him that the songs are written in such a way that there is room for variations ... so every performance of a song is a surprise and every Dear can choose his favorite presentation... I can not decide. The lyrics were written by Mary Sharon Vaughn (*1947, American musician, songwriter and producer. She writes hits for famous singers around the world, including Lara Fabian) * Premiere at the New Wave 2021 (Russia): Stranger - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oqyjdZh5u9TRg3U.html * Here, the often forgotten unique, spectacular, different version in China: Stranger - Shine! It is completely out of the ordinary how Dimash Qudaibergen manages to convey extremely different emotions by singing almost exactly the same lyrics but using different dynamics, a different key, a different timbre and different sound production techniques! It begins with the shyness and doubt of a stranger who enters a territory totally alien to him (when he plays in piano mode and with sounds surrounded by encouragement), he moves on to the desire to test his strength to achieve a new beginning in music. life. (then when he achieves that magnificent passage through the entire spectrum of his vocal range using very different singing techniques in each register) and finally reaches the power of the victorious hero who not only tried, not only fought but finally defeated him (when he shows us the power of his belt and that super long high note of 20 seconds)! I only marked 3 moments, but they were more because between the choruses there were 2 slightly different moments of narration, but both in their register under the bass-baritone and there was another chorus (in total there were 4 choruses and two parts a little more of the story , all in different dynamics, different tonalities and very different vocal techniques interpreted impeccably from a technical point of view, but also with strong emotional effects in the sense of an impressive and maximum effect on the public that practically listened to the almost entire song hypnotized) ! For me it was the perfect song of the moment and it was a sublime demonstration of how far Dimash Qudaibergen can progress even though he is already far above his contemporaries. In this song he covered from C2 to F6!

A very adequate interpretation, Flavian. There is, however, one point I'd like to add. "A stranger in a strangers land..." he is a stranger to people living in this new territory, and strangers are often met with distrust, fear, and even hate. So, it's not only the question of him adjusting to a new situation, but also of others overcoming their prejudices.
@FlavianTicaDeme
@FlavianTicaDeme Жыл бұрын
@@pirkkoukkonen8039 It's just that this song expresses the position of the foreigner and not of the locals. The verse is clear (Who I am) and there is no reference of the type Who are they! In this sense, we cannot even be sure if the locals have prejudices, maybe they have a different culture and a different value system, but this does not guarantee us the lack of hospitality or reluctance to accept foreigners!

@@FlavianTicaDeme Thanks, Flavian. What I ment was that he is AWARE of the fact that while the environment and the people are strange to HIM, HE is also strange to THEM. Sorry I expressed myself unclearly, English is not my native language 😬

If you want different voices, try Ogni Pietra, written by the same composer as Stranger, Igor Krutoy. Either the version from the Arnau concert a couple of years ago or the openin g song on the digital concert Dimash did for us during the pandemic.. but Ave Maria also written by Igor or Ikenaide, sung in Japanese is a must too,

I will use the Google translator hoping for a good translation. In any case, I will also bring my text back to you in my mother tongue. I followed your reaction. You are a special person. You deserve me to explain to you who and what Dimash is. I will use the words I used for others who came into contact with Dimash and who, like you, deserved an explanation. I'm Italian. I've known the art of singing since I was born. Let's make the point right away: Dimash is not just good at this or that field, in this or that aspect, of singing. Dimash is the sound field. You sensed the totality that is Dimash, but not quite. Following the ontological thread even before the logical of technical analysis, it is not yet fully understood that here it is no longer just octaves, whistle register and even more than simple, immense, vocal technique. Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called a totipotent cell. In this sense it is a "stem voice". From this cell can be generated any type of tissue, what are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Regarding human singing, imagine sound as a territory. Dimash owns it all. It is no longer a question of control but of absolute domination. Continuing in the similitude, the transitions in reality no longer exist because in the passage from one area to another Dimash "does not pay a lien at customs", he does not have to force himself, suffer, to access them. He flies over it as if on a single whole. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap et cetera...). It's all genders already. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a coloriture, an inflection, a declination, of his general voice. The same applies, of course, to all his voice records. This also leads to the fact that he sings easily in several languages. The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of its general sonority. Let me give you an example which is also a confirmation: Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not having devoted himself exclusively to the Opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing. And this is perfectly consistent with its nature and value. Dimash is not only an operatic singer, neither just rock, nor just pop, nor anything specified and specific, simply because he is a "holistic" singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a "singing system" that is more than the sum of its own parts. She sings with her whole body. This fact does not only relates to technical considerations relating to the posture to be taken at different times and modes of singing. It is first and foremost that, as I said, in Dimash singing is equivalent to the whole organism. I suppose sooner or later this should have happened in someone. It happened in this Kazakh boy. In summary: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself. That said, I salute you. E’ già tutti i generi.
