Guess I can point it out. It's a absolutely Mick's thing to leave you hanging. Part fo the reason is he composed overarching songs for various parts and arenas but many are made up of stems that an internal software thing picks and chooses from to match the level of action as you progress through an arena during a level. The challenge, and reason for the soundtrack drama, is mix them properly in the traditional sense, but to also put put in an order that is musically cohesive *and* matches some of the typical stem mixes you'd get in the game. Poor Hushult was called in to pump a soundtrack and fast from scratch for Eternal and well, the rush job shows: muddy mixes on some songs, some are nowhere near the few teasers of the mixes Mick gave us. But, some of his pieces from the DLC expansions show he's got the chops when he can actually work with breathing room.

We've heard about the stems thing and music synced with in-game action, that's such a cool thing. Hulshult had it rough I guess, but didn't many of Mick's stuff still make it on Eternal? And we got some Hulshult suggestions as well so I think the dude might have something up his sleeve also. Thanks for the detailed info! /Andrei

@@KB-du3rh The new soundtracks are great as well, but they are more classical heavy or moody/background-y compared to Mick's more groovy "unique-isch" stuff... I think that's why more people prefer Mick's contribution (me included, but I slap up UAC Atlantica and Blood Swamps every now and then as well).

It’s DOOM time!!🤩 You can’t go wrong with Mick Gordon’s music really!! This one in particular is straight to the point heaviness!🤘 I love how you can feel the anticipation of something heavy coming but it keep on teasing and the BOOM!! Heavy riff! Awesome!! I would have definitely needed that song on the spicy challenge I did today🤪 Awesome review as always guys, keep on bringing the Doom!!🤘

I dont often recommend "Music" but you should check out "Mick Gordon - Kar En Tuk". It's a "Metal Choir" and its ........ something.... This is one of the top comments to give you an idea: "Ah yes my favorite instrument Screams of absolute horror" props for turning up the volume xD

His guitar tone and riff on this one remind me so much of Flaw's 2001 Through the Eyes album. Just that super crunchy gritty sound - though this is turned up another notch or two. Also definitely agree on the Muse vibes - there's a lot about this song that feels tantalizingly familiar. I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy Mick and this album given how much I've heard it hyped, but so far it's awesome.

@@thewindmillfullovcorpses I’d be somewhat surprised if you had. Flaw was pretty popular in the early 2000s but they eventually lost a lot of radio time to a giant conglomerate named Clearchannel buying up alternative (and other) radio stations and changing their programming to something more profitable. Give their song Payback a listen sometime for the hell of it - their sound is way more like more modern bands on that one. Flaw almost singlehandedly got me into metal.
