As an Army veteran I appreciate you for reacting to this one. I was lucky enough to make it through my time in service, others that I knew were not so fortunate. For us this is a day to remember their sacrifice, without all of those who have given their lives over the history of our country we might not be here today, not like this anyway. So once again, thank you so much and have a blessed day. Oh, and check out Geoff's new song Saddle Up, it was originally recorded back in the 50's by Thul Ravenscroft, the same guy who did The Headless Horseman song, it will give you a good laugh, somthing I think we could all use in these crazy days.

There's another song that will make you cry but in the beginning with a happy ending is one called 'Riding With Private Malone' by David Ball. If you haven't already I think you would actually enjoy that one. Its basically about a car that's haunted but in a good way.

Beautiful job Home Free! Only band that percussion make me emotional! I lost it during Rupp’s snare cadence! 😭😭. Stunning! I preordered this album. This is part of why I love this channel. You react to the song. Not the technical aspects: voice placement, notes too flat, ect. You react to the story, the emotion. But that is also the bad part. Every time you get emotional over a song, I want to reach through my phone and give you a hug.

What a great reaction. If you didn't know that was a cover from The Dixie Chicks. My fiance's Dad served for 35 years in the Canadian Army as well, he retired in 1997, he was a Colonel when he retired. If you want a song that will make you smile by Home Free, you should do a reaction to "Champagne Taste(on a Beer Budget)", it's one of their originals. Have a great day my dear.

I love your tender heart! It takes courage to put your emotions out there for all to see. That's what makes you such a great reactor, because you actually react! Home Free has been hitting hard on some very important social issues. I love that they don't shy away from tough subjects. Like this song, THIS is what Memorial Day is about! Not BBQ's, beer, and 3 day weekends. For all the families and friends who are left behind after the loss of your loved one, thank you for your sacrifices also. I saw that someone mentioned Riding with Private Malone by David Ball, that's a great one. One that I've not seen mentioned is by the legendary group The Statler Brothers and is called More Than a Name on the Wall. Thank you so much for being you! The world can always use genuine people like you!❤

The terribly truism that so many families have known is opening that last letter. The one that says they are coming home. Then the terrible pain of having gotten the call by the soldiers telling you she was killed after that letter was written. Happened often.

Sorry you had to take that ride... Nothing brings out the reason for Memorial Day like this song - it is never about being a celebration of soldiers, that would be Veterans day. Memorial day is meant to be a day of reflection on the sacrifice for our freedom. Unfortunately it has become "just another long weekend" at the beginning of summer. There is nothing wrong with celebrating their service, but this song with it's upbeat start really brings the message home - and that military drumbeat - WOW.
