Hey y'all! Lots of people have given me feedback on my volume levels, which I really appreciate, this is all a work in progress for me. Constructive criticism is super welcome because I'm very much still learning how to record and edit video! That said, there was a comment that someone deleted before I could reply to it that was berating me for not doing sound checks, so I just wanted to clarify, I do sound checks, the thing is the volume levels for the most part sound fine to me (aside from the times in parts 1 & 2 where I commented on the volume being low and turned it up right then and there live), I guess because I'm used to needing music volume to be significantly lower than my mic volume due to my Twitch streaming. So part of what I'm working on is training myself to know what sounds good for KZfaq versus Twitch, as well as learning how to adjust things during recording. Also, I'm not going to re-record something if there is a mistake because then the reaction isn't genuine, which is why there is a previous reaction video on my channel that was SO loud I had to subtitle it, lol. Be patient with me, in the mean time, if you want to blast the music, then lucky for us all Nightwish uploaded the originals for us to do just that! lol

This most certainly an album to listen to beginning to end, no skipping around. Tuomas himself stated he wrote 'Hows the Heart' for Floor and her family and I suspect other tracks were written favoring other members of the group as well. Nightwish has other tracks to get down and rock but this is something to be savored and explored time and again.

Don't worry. Tears are so allowable ... even a virtue when it comes to Nightwish.

Music took a few times to feel it, but now it is one of my favorites. The history of music and how it opened our imagination to allow us all to understand the non verbal language that is music. The history of anything is not a smooth transition but a process of unfolding events that culminates in awareness and completion. Do you no the story behind Shoemaker? I see the connection between the two songs as Greatest show on earth tell the history from the beginning until the end of mankind (enter the rat kind), procession tells the history of mankind from a perspective of a pos-human race (maybe the Rat kind race?),

you should check How's the Heart accoustic version as well. And i couldnt like Music at first listens, but now is one of my faves. Cheers

The whole album is great. So versatile journey. I don't rank the tracks, because all of them has their moments. Short note to these. In Procession Floor's voice in in the touching mode. Pan is Emppu's show and he said that it's so hard to play for him that it's going to end a PANcake when playing it live. How's the Heart hit hard to big old softy like me. I think that the rope here refers hanging rope (suicide?) and the blade refers hate. Throw them (burn and dull) and join with us. Tuomas wrote the second verse inspired by Floor. Shoemaker is about astrogeologist Eugene Shoemaker. Funny thing is that the opening part is probably harder to sing for Floor than the very impressive operatic ending. Great reaction and you didn't cry alone.

nice reaction ! my fav. of the four hows the heart, i am convinced that in the vid. you see the side profiles of Hannes and Floor, as Tuomas also wrote this song for her as he stated in an interview, grts from the Dutch cheesehead in Germany, there is also an acoustic live version of HSH that is even better..... by the way.... how is your heart in these days ???

For the 1st CD of the album, those songs are demanding you more to be listened. The more you listened to them, the more you understand how and where this masterpiece will take you. Its a journey u wont forget and then it will spoiled you on the 2nd CD. I hope u're not done yet, lets finished it till the end, lol. And I hope u will feel what I feel from this amazing album.

You missed “harvest”? 🧐 My favourite is shoemaker for that operatic part at the end. Loved procession like ad astra (i live in Mexico, i understand their worries about nature and animals), pan and tribal. But the whole album is just 😻

Great review, music a little low volume. Too bad you ended How's the heart before the end, some floorgasm moments there plus amazing harmonies at the very end.
