I actually had no idea they made a movie! Is it on KZfaq? Being on stage is definitely a performance, Marco and Floor definitely play up certain emotions and are good at being expressive, I guess I just hadn’t attributed that to having acting chops! I like that Tuomas was just smiling the whole time. 😂

The guy who directed the movie is the same guy hired for this video and it shows, wish I knew his name off hand but, Tuomas wasnt even going to make a video at first but, was talked into doing so and only chose to do so after getting together with him for it.

@@ZombieGirlie Afaik a reaction to the movie has never been attempted. People did reactions to whole concerts though, which is comparable in length. I wouldn't expect too many viewers for that reaction but I would watch it with you, cause it would be interesting to get your thoughts on it. And it is on my "watch it again" list anyway :-)

Kevin Gunning I took the toilet character as representative of a self-appointed “king” on his “throne”, someone who acts superior, but they’re actually not as important as they believe themselves to be. I totally pictured him as some MAGA shitlord on Twitter who loves “owning them liberals”. 🤣 The girl with the selfies I have mixed feelings about if I’m being honest, as someone who has a lot of friends who are sex workers and models, but I don’t think the message there is to bash folks who own their sexuality or use their sexuality openly. I think when coupled with the later scene of the miserable woman getting injections and having a bad attitude it was the same message as all the others, we saw a beautiful woman but her soul was rotten. Every single character shown was meant to be vain and self-important. I don’t think that she was necessarily shown to be forced into taking sexy photos, it was the layer underneath that that we were supposed to pay attention to, imo. There was so much symbolism in Thomas’s character! Similar to the selfie girl, they were curating a look, theirs was just a different end goal, his I think was supposed to be someone who wanted to save the world but it was for show. The bathing in oil could mean they were actually politically supporting oil companies and the influence their money has because oil money is such a huge issue in the US, it is one of the things that controls our government unfortunately. There’s so much nuance to the video, it’s really fun to pick it apart!

Gabriel Bardac Gabriel Bardac yeah definitely not new to the band! I’ve known of them since the early 2000’s but it wasn’t until the last few months that I started listening to them more in depth and started to get to know the band as more than just a song here and there! They’ve been on my mix cds and playlists since high school/college though and I’m 33! 😂 I love them and Floor is a goddess. 💙
