I had a donkey growing up. Everytime I went to greet Leo it was like that. Running, braying, putting his head all over my shoulder. If I didn't scratch him he'd put his head on my shoulder and press down a little until I petted him and gave him kisses. I miss my big boy 💔. They are just amazing animals. They're so loving and loyal. They're oversized puppers. I dunno why they aren't more popular as straight up pets. They're also protective. Just an amazing amazing animal. 😍 😍 😍

I just watched this the umpteenth time and I'm not ashamed to admit my tears are flowing freely. That donkey is literally crying with joy to see his girl! Animals are so incredibly smart and empathetic! The truly have souls and they remember everything. I had to help my beloved dog Jax to cross the Rainbow Bridge recently and my heart is broken, but I had a visitation from Jax recently. He was sitting there with a look of pure love and joy on his face and it was just radiating off of him to be. I can't explain it other than that and that it was a true visitation that I'm so incredibly grateful for! If you have an animal friend, love them up while you have them!

Sometimes I'll watch 60min of a stupid TV show that I got nothing out of. This was 60sec and I got a whole lot out of it. Edit: Since I posted this comment, a lot of people asked, "Well what did you get out of it?" Well, when we put value on life, we add value on earth and every day gives us a chance to add value. My daughter had a cat that found its way home after a year, he was so dirty that she didnt recognise him at first. He was under her car, she sat down in front of him and kept looking at him. After a while he reminded her of her cat Binky, then on a whim she said "Binky?" He remembered her voice and meowed back in acrusty weak voice and came out crawl up the front of her, he made it home, she cried, took him in and fed him. He lived about 2-3 months and passed away. At least he made it home to his mama.

I don't think that people can reach this level of love. Humans have deep and complex motives that sit alongside our emotions that get in the way of feeling love to its fullest extent. The donkey doesn't question how or why it loves her. It just remembers their interactions, which must have been incredible for it to miss her so much.

Omg! The most emotional display of pure love from an animal that I have ever seen. But while I should feel happy for the donkey, it made me sad that there was separation in the first place.

I can’t bear the thought of her leaving him again. The stress he must feel when she walks away. After he poured his heart out to her I pray she found a way to be in his life again. It would be a tragedy if she didn’t see him every day. I’ve never seen any animal express such profound heartbreak.
